Sunday 1pm

Jay pulled up on the driveway in his mercedes with Raquelle. She put her hand on his knee "are you okay" she asked. He nodded "yeah I'm good" he said. He kissed her softly, she kissed back. They then got out of the car and walked over to the property. Jay knocked on the door, the door then opened, it was Fiona. She smiled and greeted them, she gave Jay a big hug. "Babe this is Fiona and Fiona my fiance Raquelle" he said "it's so nice to finally meet you sweetie" she smiled and hugged the blonde girl "nice to meet you too" she said. "Come on through we're just in the back yard" she said.

They followed her to the back yard. There was a man in his mid 50s setting up the barbecue "this is my husband Donny" Fiona said. "Hey guys, welcome. Damn your tall son" he joked. Jay smiled and shook Donny's hand "I've been told" he laughed "and you must be Raquelle" he smiled "I am" she said "it's so nice to meet you both. Especially you Jay, Fiona has been so happy since she met you. It's like the missing piece has been found" Donny said admiring his wife who was in the kitchen making salad. "What can I get you for drinks. We have beer, wine or a soft drink?!" he asked "babe if you wanna have a beer or two I'll drive home" Raquelle said "you sure?" he asked. She smiled and nodded "alright. Beer for jay. Raquelle?" he asked "an iced tea or something would be great" she said. "You okay" he asked "yeah just not been feeling to well, so I don't want to drink" she said. He nodded worriedly "I'm fine. I promise. Enjoy this afternoon" she said. He kissed her softly.

"Ain't you two cute. How'd you meet?" Donny asked handing them their drinks "well that's a funny story" he said looking at Raquelle. They told Donny how they met, how Jay had dated one of her friends and they had to keep their relationship secret for a bit. Donny laughed "well that's definitely one way to do it" he said. A teenager then walked outside "ah there he is. Felix this is Jay your half brother and Jay this is Felix" he said. Jay stood up and Felix smiled and hugged Jay "Hiya mate" Jay said surprised. "Sorry I just think your awesome. I have watched all your rugby games and it's so awesome that you are my half brother" he said "yeah Felix is now playing for the local rugby team all inspired by you" Fiona said by the door "ah no way that's cool. What position?!" he asked "number 8" Felix said proudly "oh nice, flanker I like it. Well I mean if you have a ball we can have a throw around later if you'd like. Give you a few pointers" he smiled. Felix beamed, "yeah that would be amazing" he said. Jay smiled and fist bumped him.

The doorbell rang, "I'll get it" Fiona said. "Mom, dad what are you doing here?" she asked as they barged in "our grandson mentioned you were having a BBQ, so thought we'd swing by and bring over our pasta salad" Dolores said, placing the tray on the kitchen counter. "Who's that?!" Roger asked pointing at Jay and Raquelle. Fiona sighed knowing this was not gonna go down well. "More importantly why weren't we invited today?! We only had church this morning and then we had a free day and to not even get an invitation?!" she said. Jay walked in to put his beer in the bin "everything okay?" he asked "um mom, dad. This is Jay my biological son. Jay these are your grandparents" she said. Jay smiled and put his hand out to shake Rogers.

Roger glared at Jay, who put his hand away "you went behind our back to look for this bastard. We told you how many years ago, he was a mistake and we weren't gonna have anything to do with him. He was the biggest mistake you ever made and nearly cost this family out reputation. I wish he was never born. Why are dredging up the past" Dolores screamed at her. At the point the three outside came in to see what the commotion was. Roger put his hand on his wife shoulder "you have disappointed us again and you why would you put your grandma through this" Roger said speaking to Felix, who put his head down. Jay looked at them "you were a mistake son. A result from a stupid relationship that should have never happened. I don't know why your so called mother wanted to dredge this up" he said. Raquelle then walked over "you two are the most hideous vile people I have ever met. That is your first born grandson and your speaking to him like that. That so called a mistake is the most kind, loving and loyal man I have ever known..he is the most amazing human being. Not to mention he has built a rugby legacy on his own. You two should be ashamed" she said. The older couple looked offended"your gonna let her speak to us that way Fiona" her mother gasped "I think you should leave" Fiona said. They both huffed and stormed out.

Felix stood there in shock, he couldn't believe the way his grandparents just acted and what they said. He was delighted to have Jay as his older half brother. Jay put his arm around him "you still fancy going to throw that rugby ball" he asked. Felix smiled and nodded. Jay kissed Raquelle softly "thankyou for being you and just incredible" he said before going out with Felix. She smiled and watched her fiancé walk out to the back garden.

"Cmon then let's go" Jay said. Felix threw him the rugby ball. "Woah woah come here" he said and showed Felix how to throw a rugby ball properly.  "You want to get a decent spin to it, like that" he said throwing him the ball "awesome how did you do that?" Felix asked and Jay showed him.
