Jay sat there still speechless "I'm so sorry for everything" she said reaching out for his hand. Jay smiled tightly "please don't be. I have had the best life and I've got the best parents. The first five years weren't amazing but nevertheless the last 26 have been incredible. I have two loving parents and a step dad. I've got siblings, please don't be sorry" he said. She smiled "good I'm glad you feel that way" she said "how did you find me?" he asked "the woman who owned the bedsit. Mrs Finigan she promised me she'd keep an eye on you, make sure you were okay. She had a friend who worked at the adoption agency. Due to confidentiality at the time she couldn't tell me who adopted you but just that you had been adopted. She retired last month and she told Mrs Finigan who then rang and told me that it was Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh. I looked it up and as soon as I saw you I knew it was you. Jay smiled and nodded. "What happened since. Are you married? Do I have any half siblings?" he asked " yeah I married a man called Donny and you have a half brother called Felix, he's 15" she smiled. Jay smiled brightly "that's awesome" he said. "You have a girlfriend I saw on Instagram?" Fiona asked. Jay smiled instantly at the thought of Racquel. "Yeah honestly she's the best thing in my life. I can't imagine it without her. She's the most beautiful, funny and wonderful woman I've ever met and I wake up everyday thanking my lucky stars that I get to call her mine" he said. "Honey that was beautiful. Are there wedding bells on the horizon?" she asked "yeah definitely 100%. If she says yes obviously" he smiled. Fiona smiled "I'm just so happy that your happy!" she said. He smiled and nodded. Jay and Fiona spoke about their lives for the next few hours. They then hugged and gave each other their number.

Jay walked happily into the house. Racquel was sat on the sofa replying to emails. He walked over and sat beside her and she kissed him softly "so how did it go?" she asked "yeah really good. I feel really happy and a bit more whole" he said. She smiled and put her head on his chest. "Good I'm glad" she said, he kissed her head softly. Racquels phone then buzzed, she smiled. Jay put his arm around her shoulder "Courtney and Ashley want us to go out with them tonight for a meal and some drinks" she said "yeah sure sounds good" he said. Ever since the night where Courtney and Ashley began to trust Jay. He had gotten really close to them and they began to be like family to him. He treated them the same way he treated his sister.

Jay and Racquel walked hand in hand into the bar/restaurant. Ashley and Courtney waved at them. Racquel smiled and they walked over to them. They hugged the girls and sat down and began to chat. The waiter came over and took their drinks order. Jay put his arm on Racquels knee. She smiled at him and he kissed her cheek "stop y'all are so cute" Ashley said "yeah stop making us jealous and Jay stop setting a really high standard for guys! It's making us feel bad for dating assholes" Courtney laughed. Racquel laughed and put her head in his shoulder. He kissed her head softly. The waitress gave them their drinks. " So what've you been upto today?" Ashley asked "I met my biological mom" Jay said. The two girls gasped "that is so exciting, how did it go?" Ashley said "yeah awesome she's really nice and we got along really well" he said. Racquel excused herself and went to the bathroom, he kissed her softly before she got up.

"I actually wanted to talk you two" he said once he knew Racquel was out of ear shot "whats up?" Ashley asked "do either of you have Racquels parents address?" he asked "yeah it'll be on the emergency contact file. How come?" Ashley said. "I'm going to ask Racquel's parents for their blessing when I ask her to marry me" he said. The two girls squealed "omg!! When are you planning on asking her?!" Courtney asked "on her birthday, I've got the ring. I just need their blessing for it" he smiled. He went on his phone and showed them a picture of the ring. "I got it today on my way back from seeing my mom" he said. "Jay it's beautiful" Courtney said. "Yeah, she's going to love it" Ashley said. Jay smiled "i honestly can't wait to ask her" he said. "I'm so happy for you guys. She's definitely gonna say yes. She loves you so much" Ashley said "yeah she adores you. And her family loves you and we love you! There's no way she wouldn't" Courtney said. Jay smiled "thanks girls that eases the nerves a bit" he smiled. Racquel got back to the table "what are you guys talking about?" she asked "just how amazing you are" he smiled. She blushed and kissed him softly.
Even though Courtney, Ashley and Selena had reservations about Jay when they began dating but he soon showed them how serious he was about Racquel and they could see how much he loved her. They soon began to accept him and love him. He soon became one of their closest friends and they knew they could always call him if they needed him, even if it was him coming to chase guys away.
