The Next Day.

The taxi pulled up at the villa in St Lucia. Jay got the luggage out the car, "this is so beautiful" Raquelle said as she saw the eternity pool facing the ocean. "Just like you then" he said as he wrapped his arm around her waist. She smiled and placed her hand on his cheek and kissed him softly. He returned the kiss. He got the luggage out the car and paid the taxi driver. They then walked to the keysafe and he got the key out and they walked in to their new home for the week.

Raquelle looked in awe at her surroundings, it was the most stunning villa and Jay had asked them to lay rose petals on the floor that led to the balcony, there was a bottle of champagne and a bucket of ice on the dining room table. She couldn't help but think how lucky she was to be engaged to such an amazing man. She walked onto the balcony that looked out onto the ocean. Jay walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist bringing her closer "do you like it?" he asked. She smiled "I love it, it's amazing" she smiled. He smiled and kissed the top of her head. "Did I tell you today that your beautiful" he asked, she looked at him and smiled "you did but I'll take it" she said. He leaned down and kissed her softly.

Jay and Raquelle spent the next week in paradise with one another. They fell more deeply in love which they didn't think was possible. The villa was secluded so they didn't see anyone unless they went into the town. It was just them two, spending time together as a newly engaged couple.

One month later.

Jay walked in from training. He was exhausted, the international squad was getting ready for an upcoming tournament and the training was intense. Jay had also been asked to head of nutrition, which was great but it also meant he had to plan all the meals for the team throughout the tournament. He had also started an Instagram, which was Raquelle's idea where he shared nutrition and fitness tips, he had over 1000 followers already. She even had featured in some of the videos.

He lay on the sofa, scrolling through Instagram. He didn't have to pick up Raquelle till later on as she had dinner meetings and drinks with her manager. He turned on the TV and put Netflix on, got up and went to cook some food. His phone then began to ring. It was Fiona.

"Hey Fiona" he said "oh hey sweetie. How are you?" she asked "yeah not bad thanks, how are you?" he asked "I'm good sweetie. So we're having a family cook out on Sunday and I was wondering if you and Raquelle would like to join us" she asked. "Uh yeah sure. I'll ask her" he said "okay let me know. And I'll send you over the time and where it is" she said "brilliant. Yeah okay I'll talk to you later" he said. They both said goodbye and hung up. Jay put his phone back in his back pocket, and began to cook some food.

A few hours later.

He got in his ford ranger and drove to downtown L.A to get Raquelle from a bar. He parked up outside and walked into the bar she said she would be at. He saw her in the corner at a bar with her manager and two men in their mid fifties. One had his arm around Raquelle, this made Jay feel quite jealous but he trusted her and could see she was still in a meeting so he decided to sit at the bar and order a soft drink. He was on his phone scrolling and then he heard a voice "hey, how about a drink?" he looked up and smiled. Raquelle kissed him softly "what are you doing on your own" she asked "I didn't want to interrupt" he said "don't be silly. We're not really talking business anymore anyway. I think Jeff wants to get another round in but after that we can get going" she said. He nodded "yeah sure" he smiled. She took his hand and led him over.

Janet, Raquelles manager smiled and hugged Jay "hey honey how've you been?" she asked "yeah good thanks. How are you?" he asked "I'm really good sweetie" she smiled "so this is Jeff and Simon they are CEOs of the publishing house for my next book" she said. He smiled and shook the men's hands. Jay sat down making sure he was in between this Simon and his fiancée. Raquelle kissed Jay and then excused herself to the bathroom as Janet and Jeff got another round in.

Simon turned to Jay "you my friend are a lucky man" he said. Jay nodded and smiled "I mean I don't get it but...damn your lucky" he said sounding a bit annoyed. "What do you mean?" Jay said "I mean no offence at all....but cmon she's hot and talented, who's in the prime of her career. Your a retired athlete or something??" he said "I mean I'm now assistant coach for the international usa team and I was a very successful player" he said. Simon looked at him "oooh big deal...all I'm saying is compared to her...your not all that. She could be with a guy who's successful, rich and could take her to the next level and beyond, both professionally and personally if you know what I mean..." Simon said cockily smirking. Jay wanted to so badly smack the smirk off his face but he knew this was a big meeting for Raquelle. So he just had to grit his teeth, he saw Raquelle walk back over "I mean look at you then look at her. Make it make sense. She'll get bored girls like her who are destined for greatness ... always do." he said.

Raquelle came over and sat down next to Jay. She kissed him softly, he smiled faintly at her. She put her hand on his knee as the drinks were brought over. She noticed the rest of the night Jay seemed to be somber and quiet and she didn't know why.
