On the set of Only Murderers In The Building.

It was the end of the day on set, and Selena was in her trailer getting ready to go home after a long day. There was a knock on her door, "come in" she said. Meryl Streep stepped in to her trailer "Hey hunny, before I go. I remember you saying earlier you wanted to get into the film scene again, well my good friend Emma Thompson is having a get-together this weekend with some friends and she asked me to invite you. She loves your work on the show and prior and would love to work with you" Meryl asked. Selena's jaw dropped "really...yes I'd love to!" she smiled. "Brilliant, I will email you the details. I'm not on set tomorrow so I will see you at the party" Meryl smiled "Awesome, see you then" she smiled and said goodbye to Meryl.

Courtney, Selena's best friend and assistant then stepped into the trailer a few minutes later and saw Selena beaming. "Whats up?" Courtney asked. Selena turned, smiled and told Courtney "OMG that's so exciting!" Courtney smiled "I know, I'm so excited" Selena smiled. Selena's phone then pinged and she grabbed it "It's Meryl" she said "what does it say?!" Courtney said

Selena, I am so happy you said yes to the invitation, Emma will be thrilled. Her address is

Saturday Night.

Jay popped a mini quiche into his mouth. "They are for the guests" Emma scowled "I am a guest" he said "You know what I mean, go and get ready people will be arriving any minute" Emma said. "I'm going" he said, putting his hands in the air with his overnight bag which had his clothes in it. "And have a shower! You stink" she said "Yep will do" he said as he walked up the spiral staircase to one of the spare rooms. Jay opened one of the doors and threw his bag on the bed, he undressed and got out of his muddy training gear. "Ow, that's going to be sore in the morning" he muttered, looking at the red mark on his leg. He then hopped in the shower and got all the dried mud off his body. He put shampoo through his curly hair and let the hot water run over his body. He then got our put a towel on himself and got his clothes out his bag. He put on a pair of black jeans, a brown turtle neck, and a tweed jacket, with black Chelsea boots. He dried his hair and beard, and had a quick swig of mouthwash in the bathroom. He then walked out the room, closing the door behind him and walked downstairs.

Selena got out of the Uber with Courtney, said thank you to the driver, and walked up the long driveway. Selena knocked on the door, and a woman with short blonde hair answered. "You must be Selena, it is lovely to meet you. Come in" she smiled "Thank you so much" Selena smiled "I'm Emma, Meryl has told me so much about you," Emma said "Yes I know who you are, sorry I'm such a fan!" she gushed "Oh no as I am of you!" Emma said "Hi I'm Courtney, Selena's best friend and assistant" she said "Hi Courtney it is lovely to meet you. Please go and get a drink and make yourself at home" she smiled. Selena and Courtney smiled and walked into the house, "wow, this house is beautiful" Selena said "I know right" Courtney said. Selena smiled and waved as she saw Meryl beckoning her over. Selena and Courtney walked over arm in arm, "Hi Selena and Courtney so lovely to see you" Meryl beamed "You too" they said "these are a few of my good friends, this is Julie Walters and Pierce Brosnan" she said "Hi, it's so nice to meet you, I am such a big fan" she said "Oh you too, sweetheart" Julie smiled and hugged her. Pierce smiled "Yes lovely to meet you, Meryl has not stopped talking about how spectacular you are and after watching only muderers in the building its hard to disagree" he smiled. Selena blushed "thank-you so much" she smiled.

"Would anyone like a drink" a British accent said from behind them, with a tray of drinks "There's my boy!! Well if you insist, Jay" Julie beamed grabbing a wine off the tray. "Trust you" Jay said smiling "shut up" Julie smiled and then winked at him. "You mum putting you to work son?" Pierce chuckled "It's a hard life" Jay said. "Oh Jay this is Selena Gomez and her friend Courtney" Meryl smiled "and girls this is James, one of Emma's two boys" Meryl said "Hi it's nice to meet you" Jay said with a smile. "Oh Mer Jay knows who Selena is, he had a thing for her for years" Julie chuckled "Thanks aunt Julie. This is my cue to leave" he said before leaving. "Love you" Julie chimed as Jay left "Why do that to the poor boy" Pierce smiled. Selena smiled and watched Jay walk away. "He's single you know" Meryl said "who is?!" Julie said "Jay" Meryl said "Good to know" Selena said. "I am not saying this because I am his nonblood aunty or that I've known him since he was yay high, but he is a lovely boy and any girl would be lucky" Julie said "I agree with that, he's a really good fella. He works hard and he looks after his family" Meryl said. Pierce nodded "Good lad that boy and fantastic rugby player" he said "Of course you'd say that" Julie laughed.

Later that night,

Jay saw Selena looking a little lost. He walked over to her "you lost?" he asked "yeah i can't find the bathroom" she said "oh it's straight down the hall and then first on the right" he said "Thanks" she said "No worries" he said. Selena walked out of the bathroom and saw Jay chatting with a few men, he had a beer in his hand. Jay smiled at her "off duty now then?" she asked "yeah the slave driver has stopped for the day..don't tell her I said that" he smiled. Selena laughed "I won't. I promise" she said "You, want to get some air" he asked. Selena saw Courtney was engrossed in a conversation with Meryl and Liam Neeson "Sure" she smiled and walked away with him. Jay grabbed two beer bottles and then opened the back door for her, "Come I want to show you something" he said. Selena nodded and followed him. "Take my hand it can be slippy" he said and put his hand out. She took his hand and held it. Both of them felt sparks fly and warmth take over their faces. They walked hand in hand to a swing set. "Will these break?" she asked "No they've been here for years, they are pretty sturdy. If I don't break them you sure won't!" he said. They sat on the swings, "So.." he said, Selena giggled "How long have you been in the States for?" he asked "Uh around three months. I transferred to the New York Rugby Club, before that, I was playing in the UK" he said "And you play rugby??" she said. He nodded "What is rugby?" she asked "It's like American football but without the protection" he said "Isn't that dangerous" she asked "It is if you don't play it right," he said. She nodded "But yeah you can get concussions and stuff but, I love it and have done it since I was a kid" he said "You didn't want to be an actor? Like your mom?" she asked "Nah not really, I don't have the attention span to learn scripts" he chuckled. Selena smiled. Her phone then buzzed, she looked at it "it's Court wondering where I am" she said. Jay nodded, "shall we head back?" he asked, she nodded "sure" she said. They got off the swings, and walked back up to the house. "Selena, before we go back in, uh do you want to grab a drink sometime? Like just us two" he asked nervously. Selena smiled "sure, sounds good!" she said nodding. Jay beamed at her "awesome, let me give you my number and then let me know when your free" he said getting his phone out. She took his number "thanks I'll let you know" she said "cool" he said as he opened the back door for her. He then followed her in, he then heard "Jay, darling can I borrow you" Emma said from the other room. "Yeah one minute mum" he said before turning to Selena "So I'll see you around sometime" he said "you will" she said nodding. He smiled and kissed her cheek "by the way you look amazing" he said before walking to the other room.
