Just In Time Part 19

Over the next few months, Jay and Racquel spent every moment they could together, whether that was Racquel sneaking into his bed after an event with Selena, going out on dates for breakfast or dinner. Or just being together in the apartment watching TV. But the time came when Selena and her team were scheduled to be back in L.A for important meetings. Neither Jay or Racquel wanted to say goodbye but they knew they had to for now.

Jay drove Racquel to the airport. Selena and the rest of the team had gone beforehand, but wanted to give Racquel and Jay chance to say goodbye without all the paparazzi.

They got out of the car, Jay got her luggage for her and they walked hand in hand into the airport. Jay and Racquel held each other for a few moments. "This sucks" she said "I know" he said before she kissed him. "But I'll be out in two months. It'll be here before you know it. I love you" he said before he kissed her head. She kissed him again and he returned it. "I love you too" she said then hugged again and swayed before Racquel had to pull away to leave to get through security. Jay waved her off as she walked to security.

Jay had the off season, in two month's time. After that then his contract was up. His original plan was to go back to the UK and play at a smaller league club. But this girl had changed his plans significantly. He was looking at going to LA in some capacity either to play or coach, he didn't care. He just wanted to be with Racquel.

Two months. Racquel thought as she sat on the plane and set the calendar on her phone. Two months before she got too hold Jay again and fall asleep next to him. They had been together for a total of five nearly six months but it felt like a lifetime. She played with the necklace he gave her the night he told her he was in love with her. She had never been so happy. He told her at the top of the empire state building and she returned that by telling him she was in love with him too. She was relieved at the thought of being busy for two months. She had meetings scheduled. Selena had a few concerts and an album release. Her and Jay were going to facetime and whenever they could. But they both understood that careers are important and they need to schedule their relationship around it no matter how hard it was. She was hoping Jay would be able to find a coaching job in LA, as she had watched him play rugby and she had seen a few games and had to hold her breath every time he got tackled, scared he was going to get hurt.
