Just In Time Part 16

Selena stood there awkwardly. "Do you want a seat?" Racquel asked. Selena smiled and nodded. Racquel stood up and they walked over to the sofa and sat down.

Neither of the girls knew what to say for the first minute or so. "I'm sorry" they both said at the same time. "I'm sorry. I should've told you about Jay and I....as soon as it happened. I wanted to but I guess I just didn't know how. I didn't want to hurt you then I saw him last night and I just needed to tell you" Racquel said. Selena nodded "I'm sorry the way I reacted. I just didn't know what to say. I'm happy with Benny it's not about that. I think what hurts is that you felt like you had to hide it" she said. Racquel nodded "I know I just panicked and didn't know how to tell you" she said. Selena opened her arms and they embraced "please don't keep stuff like that from me again" she said. "I won't" Racquel said. "So Jay huh?..." Selena said "what about him?" Racquel said pulling away. "You know you read about the guys who get around the friendship circle...is he" Selena said before Racquel interrupted her "woahh no he is not like that at all. He's a really sweet and good guy" she said. Selena nodded putting her hands up to surrender "I was just asking. I don't want you getting hurt" she said. Racquel nodded and understood "Jays not gonna hurt me" she said. Selena nodded "I just don't want what happened with Nate to happen again" Selena said. "Nate had a complex and he was a walking red flag from day one" she said. Selena agreed "But I get where your coming from. Jay has shown me over and over again that he is there for me and he's in this" Racquel said. Selena nodded "Okay then. Do you wanna come back home. We can still do that girls day like we planned?" Selena asked. "Okay, let me say bye to Jay and I'll come over" Racquel said "okay well I don't see you for twenty minutes I'll know where you are" she joked and left the apartment.

Racquel let out a sigh of pure relief. She no longer has this weight hanging over her. She walked to the bedroom and saw Jay laying on the bed watching a rugby match. He smiled at her from the doorway "everything okay?" he asked "Yeah we're good! I'm gonna go and spend the day with her if that's ok" she said "course it is. You don't have to ask" he said with a smile. He got up and walked over to her "maybe see you later" he asked "I'll let you know what time I'm back??" she said. He nodded and smiled before giving him a kiss and leaving the apartment.

Racquel entered her apartment. Ashley and Courtney were on the couch "your here faster than we thought." Ashley teased. Racquel blushed "get your mind out of the gutters we didn't have sex this morning....we had it last night!" she said "ooooh get it girl!" Ashley teased as Racquel sat on the sofa. "How is Jay?" Courtney asked "he's good" she smiled. Selena then walked out and sat down on the sofa with the girls.
