Just In Time Part 33

An hour later.

Jay and Raquelle said goodbye to Janet, Jeff and Simon. They got in the car and he drove off "are you okay?" she asked "yeah I'm fine" he said as he put his hand under his chin and finger on his lip, like he was deep in thought. The rest of the car ride was silent.

Jay opened the gate and drove into the driveway. He got out of the car and opened Raquelles door for her. He then shut it and then opened the door for them. They walked in and Raquelle put her bag on the kitchen island. "Jay what's going on, you've been acting weird since I went to the bathroom at the bar. Did Simon do or say something? He was probably joking" she said. Jay nodded "I don't think he was" he said. Raquelle looked at him "well he probably didn't mean it then...once he has a few drinks he says shit he doesn't mean" she said "why are you sticking up for him?" he asked, she shrugged "he's a good guy, he helped me get this deal and has been by my side throughout and just been so supportive" she said. He scoffed "I bet he did" he said and smiled. Raquelle folded her arms "what's that supposed to mean?!" she said "he obviously fucking likes you. He was all over you when I walked in tonight" Jay said jealously "cmon Jay don't be that guy. We're fucking engaged" she said getting annoyed. "Be what guy?! A guy who isn't happy that some dude is obviously flirting with his fiancée?!" he asked. "He wasn't flirting and he's not just some guy! He's an important part of my career! If he dropped me I'd lose this book deal!" she said. He nodded "more important than your retired athlete loser of a fiancee. I get it, don't wait up" he said before grabbing his jacket and leaving the house. Raquelle stood there speechless.

Jay got in the pick up truck and just drove around aimlessly. He ended up at Benny and Selena's. He buzzed the intercom "hello?" Benny said "hey mate it's Jay. I know it's late...I just didn't know where to go" he said "yeah of course man. Come in" he said as the gates opened. He drove up the drive, and parked the car. He saw the door open and Benny stood there. He got out and walked over "hey buddy what's going on?" Benny asked before giving Jay a hug. "Raquelle and I had a pretty big fight" he said "ah shit man come in. What happened ?" Benny asked. Jay told him about what had transpired and that he felt like what if Simon was right and she could do better. He didn't want to get in her way. "I don't man maybe he was right and she'd be better off with someone like him....he's successful and rich. I'm not that. Maybe she will get bored of me and that I can't give her everything I thought I could" he said. Benny nodded "I get it dude. I mean when Selena and I began dating, people gave me so much shit for it. Saying I was too ugly and I wasn't good enough for her and that she could do better and it fucking hurt man. But then I realised that I was so paying so much attention to them shitty people saying that I didn't deserve her that I believed it and then I nearly lost her cause of that" he said. He nodded  "you gotta tell her what happened and how your feeling. It's the only way it's gonna get solved. She's not someone's fucking property, she needs to know. But remember this she loves you and she's marrying you. Fuck all the other guys" he said. Jay smiled a little, he began to feel a bit better. "Thanks man" Jay smiled "no worries anytime" Benny smiled. Jay and Benny hugged goodbye.

Jay drove back home. After speaking to Benny he felt like an asshole. He had treated Raquelle like shit earlier and he felt horrible. He knew Benny was right, she was marrying him and if he paid too much attention to what others said, he would be more likely to lose her.
His heart sank knowing he probably upset her, he got out of the truck and locked it. He opened the front door, he saw the lounge light was still on, he walked over and saw Raquelle sitting on the sofa. His heart sank even further, she looked so upset, she wiped an upcoming tear away. She looked at him, he walked over to her and knelt beside the sofa "I'm so sorry" he said "what's going on Jay?" she said. He got up and then sat next to her. He told her about what happened at the bar. He was honest about how he felt and that he felt like he wasn't enough for her, and that she would get bored of him like Simon said, he said about how she deserved more than him.

"I'm sorry for walking out earlier aswell" he said, she nodded "where did you go?" she asked "I went to Benny's, we spoke about both having girls out of our fucking leagues" he said. She looked at him, he looked at her "I'm so sorry" he said. She leaned up and kissed him softly, he kissed back. She pulled away and took his hands . "Jay, listen to me. I love you so much and I can't imagine my life without you in it. This is it for me us two. There is no one else and there will never be anyone else. I don't care what anyone thinks about us. I am so inlove with you and I can't wait to be your fucking wife. You are the most amazing, funny and gorgeous guy I could ever wish to be with, I fell in love with you because you love me with your whole heart and you aren't afraid to show it. You are an amazing brother and son, who loves his family more than anything. You are my moon and stars, I love you so fucking much and you are irreplaceable to me, your my forever" she said.

Jay was speechless, he captured Raquelles lips softly, she kissed back and climbed onto his lap. He brought her closer and she began to take off his t-shirt. "I'm gonna show you how much I love you" she whispered. Soon enough they were both making love on the sofa to one another and all of Jay's fears went away as Raquelle showed him how much she loved and needed him.
