Jay woke up with Racquel sleeping in his arms. He kissed her head softly and checked his phone. He had a text from Ashley.

A: hey dude, Racquels parents address is 217 Pennsylvania Street, Santa Monica,

He smiled and sent Ashley a text thanking her. He drew circles on her back just thinking how lucky he was. He honestly couldn't believe he had this girl. He had never been so in awe of another human being. Racquel stirred in his arms and her eyes fluttered open, he stroked her hair softly and leant down and kissed her softly. She cuddled into him "you looking forward to spend a day with the girls" he said. Racquel was spending the day shopping with Selena, Ashley and Courtney before Selena's trip to Cannes.

Two hours later.

Jay dropped Racquel off at Ashley's. He kissed her goodbye and told her to have a good time. He drove down the road and put the address that Ashley gave him and put it in his sat nav. Half an hour later he pulled up onto a long driveway, he drove down it and parked outside the house. He saw Racquel's mum watering some flowers out on the front garden. He got out, she saw and smiled. "Jay what a surprise! Everything okay?" she asked slightly concerned "hi Mrs Stevens I'm good thanks. I uh wanted to speak to you and Mr Stevens" he said "oh for the last time please call us Gill and George" she said as she opened the door "come in hunny" she said. "Thanks ma'am" he said and followed her in.

They walked into the kitchen as George was pouring some water into a glass. He smiled when he saw Jay. "Jay my boy" he smiled and walked over to him. They shook hands "hello sir. How are you?" he said "I'm good thanks son. Racquel not here?" he asked "no she's on a girls day. I actually came to talk to you both" he said. Gill made them all a coffee and they sat down at the kitchen table "what can we do for you son?"  George asked. Jay took a deep breath "so... Mr and Mrs Stevens I love your daughter so much, she is the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of when I go to sleep, I want to be able to love and be with her for the rest of my life, she's my world and I want to take care of her for the rest of my life. She's my everything and I would like you to ask for your blessing and support to ask Racquel for her hand in marriage" he said, he went into his back pocket and opened the box with the engagement ring.

Gill and George smiled at one another. "Oh honey yes! It's a beautiful ring by the way" she said admiring the diamond encrusted ring, with a diamond stone in the middle of it.
George put his hand out "yes son of course We can see how much you love and we know you'll take good care of her. We love you and are so happy that you want to marry her" he smiled. Gill stood up and so did jay. She embraced him. She pulled away and asked "when are you going to ask her?" she asked "on her birthday...I'm going to do a scavenger hunt, leaving little presents along the way then at the end I'm going to be there on one knee." he said. "Oh that's so sweet and thoughtful" she said. George nodded and embraced Jay. "I am so happy to call you my soon to be son in law. Your such a good man and you are everything we wanted Racquel to find in someone" he said. "Thank you sir that means a lot" Jay said.
George loved Jay, he knew Jay was a good man and he saw how much he loved his daughter. He saw the way he treated her and how sweet and gentle he was towards her. But also how protective he was. He was a gentleman and he saw how his daughter lit up when Jay was near her and how much they loved one another. He shook jays hand. "I remember when she came back to LA, she couldn't stop talking about you. She was so happy and I could tell even then how much she loved you " Gill said. Jay smiled and blushed.
