Just In Time Part 34

Raquelle woke up to the sun creeping through the blinds in the bedroom. She laid in Jay's arms wearing his old t-shirt. She looked up, he was still asleep, he looked so peaceful, she thought as she admired him. She didn't understand why anyone would want to make him feel so worthless and why he would believe it. He was everything to her and she couldn't bare the thought of ever losing him. She hated the fact that someone like Simon had made him feel like he wasn't good enough for her, when in reality he was the best thing she ever called hers. She leaned over gently and picked up her phone, she emailed Jeff, ccing in Janet stating she wanted an urgent meeting today. She needed to let them know this wasn't going to be tolerated and she'd be walking away from the book deal if anything like this ever happened again.

She then messaged Janet separately to say she would catch up with her before the meeting to let her know what happened. She then felt a kiss on the crown of her head. She put her phone down and looked up at him. "Morning beautiful" Jay mumbled, she looked up and kissed him softly. He returned the kiss and put his hand on her cheek. She pulled away, he smiled and she looked at him "I love you" she said, he smiled "I love you too" he smiled.

Raquelle waved at Janet as she walked through the door. Janet ordered a coffee before walking over to her "hey hunny" she smiled and hugged Raquelle "thanks for coming" she said "no it's fine sweetie what's going on?" she asked concerned as they sat down "Simon told Jay last night that basically I could do so much better, that I'd get bored and I should be with someone like him" she said. Janets mouth dropped a little "what an asshole" she said. "It really hurt Jay and he was so upset" Raquelle said "I don't blame him. But I hope he knows Simon was talking out his ass and he is the best thing to ever happen to you" Janet said. Raquelle smiled "yeah he does" she said. Raquelle loved that everyone around her (apart from Simon) saw how amazing Jay was and how well he treated her. She was so lucky to have found such an amazing, kind and gorgeous man.

Raquelle and Janet walked into the publishing house and told the receptionist they were here to see Jeff. A few minutes later, the tall blonde haired man walked into the lobby. He greeted both women and showed them to the conference room. They all sat down "what can I do for you today?" he asked, clasping his hand together. Raquelle looked at Janet and she nodded "I want Simon off my team. He crossed a professional line last night and I don't feel comfortable with him representing me anymore. Id also like to make a formal complaint" she said. Jeff nodded "can I ask what he did?" he asked "he told me fiancé that my fiance didn't deserve me and I was going to eventually get bored. He said that I should be in a relationship with someone like him instead. And he doesn't know what I see in Jay. It completely crossed a line and it's so unprofessional. He also had his arm around me the whole night. One more thing do you know who my fiance is?? If Simon had done his research he would realise he's the son of Emma Thompson. Who if I remember correctly you were looking to get a deal off for her new book?" she said. Jeff nodded, he was annoyed. This wasn't the first time his so called brother in law had done this and it wouldn't be the last. "First of all I can only apologise on behalf of the company that those words were said by Simon. I will be having words about how he conducts himself and you and Jay will be getting an apology. Of course from now on I will be the only one to represent you, and yeah I am so sorry. For what it's worth I think you and Jay make a great couple and he seems like a great guy" he said. Raquelle nodded and looked at Janet, she smiled. Raquelle smiled "thanks Jeff I really appreciate it" she said "no worries any other issues. Please let me know" he smiled. They all stood up and he shook both womens hands, and waved them off.

He walked into the break room where he saw Simon, as standard trying to chat up one of the interns. "Simon my office now" he growled. Simon looked at him "why?" he asked "now." Jeff said through gritted teeth before turning on his heel and walked back to his office.

Simon walked into the Jeff's office and sat on the seat to the other side of his desk "I've just had Raquelle Stevens and her manager in. They want to make a formal complaint against you, for harassment and for telling her fiancé that I quote he doesn't deserve her, she'll get bored and that he would be better off with someone like you. You who is married to my sister...and the best part is do you know who is fucking mother is??" Jeff asked seething "go on who?" Simon asked disinterested "Emma fucking Thompson" Jeff said. Simon looked at Jeff confused and Jeff nodded "the same Emma Thompson who's in discussions to release her book with us" Jeff seethed angrily. Simon opened his mouth"I don't want to hear it anymore. This isnt the first time you've openly flirted or propositioned a client in front of me. You are married to my sister and have two kids for goodness sake. What is wrong with you?! You told me nothing like this would ever happen again and it has. I am going to be letting Heather know and whatever happens after that is your doing. I will also be buying your shares in the company and standing you down from being CEO. You can go and find another company to do this shit with. Get out of my office" he said. Simon stood up angrily and stormed out of the office.
