Sophie's pov
I woke up and looked over to see Edaline and Grady passed out on the cots across from me and keefe who was laying on the cot next to me. His face tear stained. I frowned. what made him cry like that? I reached for his face my thumb gently rubbing away his tears.
His eyes fluttered open and I slowly pulled my hand away but he grabbed it and held it tightly.
"You shouldn't be awake." He said his voice shaking.
"But Elwin let me stay awake the other day!" I complained and then got confused because keefe had flinched.
"Not a few days Sophie. Two weeks."
I was shocked. "Why??" I asked.
"Elwin says you need to stay asleep"
"Your not telling me everything."
"I don't think I can"
"Why not"
"Two reasons. one, you shouldn't have to hear it and worry about it. Two, I'm not sure I can say it without sobbing."
I paled. "I'm not gonna get better. Am I?"
He moved closer and I couldn't blush I was frozen. He held me close and I could feel the cold tears coming from his eyes and I could feel the breeze's he was sending me. So I let him hug me for who knows how long before I drifted back in to sleep.
