Sucked in and spit out.

Dex's pov

My heart had just started getting to a more normal pace- well as normal as a heart rate can be in a battlefield surrounded by literally everybody.

When I noticed that the stands were beginning to look more hazy than before. I thought that maybe it was the time of day or weather or something but as it became more and more blurry I realized that the the sky itself was starting to look different, and more like- I don't know how to describe it, maybe goopy? Like it was a thick liquid with almost waves going through it?

"Uhhhhhhhh guys? Anyone else seeing this?" I asked loudly.

Everyone seemed to be squinting their eyes and looking at the arena around them in confusion. I waved my hand back and forward but it felt more difficult and slow. It felt as if I had to drag it as I moved it. But the science didn't make sense. So how could this be real?

Suddenly black dots started appearing about 3 feet in front of where I was standing next to biana.

"Guys that's definitely not just crappy weather!" Keefe said loudly.

It was as if the wind picked up instantly and I was whipped by Biana's long hair.
"Sorry!" she yelled through the wind and I barley heard her through the whooshing sounds passing my ear.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" Marella yelled as she aggressively tied her hair back giving up on leaving it down.

"ANY IDEAS TECHY BOY?" Tam yelled through the wind.

"HOW WOULD I KNOW?" I replied.

"IDK YOU KNOW STUFF!"

"WELL I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT IS IT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE."

"WHAT IF ITS AN OTHER HOLOGRAM?" Lihn suggested.

"BUT WOULDN'T WE NEED LIKE A MACHINE THING LIKE SOPHIE?" Marellla asked.

"NO, I DONT THINK SO. IM PRETTY SURE THAT MECHANISM WAS USED TO HELP IT TARGET GUILT." I yelled back.

Then the black spots started to grow and combine and swirl like in one of those sci fi movies me and Sophie watched on that screen I built to translate human movies.

Then the wind got to a whole other level and it was like standing in an hurricane. I started running even before I heard the desperate shout to run, but the wind blew me closer, and closer, and closer to the big black swirling dot.

I heard a scream and I recognized it to be Biana's, I quickly turned my head, only to to see her vanish into the black dot. My heart thumped louder at the thought of losing her- and as if my body had a mind of its own I jumped toward the black dot after her.

Keefe's Pov

I watched as Dex and biana were swept into the big black hole. And I saw everyone else struggling to get away, I saw lihn disappear and tam jumped after her.

Then I saw fitz fall in, and then Marella, then Stina, then Edaline, then Amy, once sophie saw her family go she stopped trying to run away and let the windy black hole take her. I screamed her name but it wasn't loud enough to break through the noise of the wind. So I closed my eyes and dove in after the rest of my friends.

I fell out and landed roughly in sand which didn't feel great on my cuts. I slowly got up groaning and scan the area around me. I saw people falling out of the sky that I recognized but my mind was to dizzy to process. So I just stood there watching in horror as elves fell from the sky and landed in the area around me. I was standing on a beach with a very pretty sunset that just seemed wrong considering the scene in front of me. I could vaguely hear yelling and screaming but I couldn't match any voices to people. I sat back down putting my head in between my knees at an attempt to slow the dizzying.

Once the dizzy spell has sort of past i lifted my head as all of my memories and thoughts came back to me.

Sophie.

Where was she?!

I looked around and saw a blonde girl running around using abilities to help those who were hurt she was casting little wind spells to catch the people who were still falling. She looked so hyper focused and her dress that was pretty ruined swooshed with her movements in the air. The blood on her looked dry so that meant that she didn't have any new major injuries. She must have met my gaze, because her eyes focused on my filled with concern she levitated down towards me landing next to me gracefully.

"Hi foster." I said softly.

"Keefe, you don't look so good."

"Hey I always look good!" I said but my words were kinda slurred so it sounded more like "heyishalwayzloukgood"

Her eyes widened and she called someone over.

"Hey, youz look kinda like Edaline, herz mum!"

"I am Edaline sweetie." The lady who claimed to be Edaline said.

She kneeled down beside me and check for my pulse.

"IMM NOZ DIED!" I shouted at her.

She jumped slightly and said. " I'm just checking your heart rate." Then she turned to Sophie and asked her if she could go find Elwin or livey.

"Wait- whoz livey?" I asked.

"She's a nice physician who can help you."

"I don't need any help!!"

"Keefe your hurt. You need help."

"I fink I would know if I need helped."

"My headz just spinny."

"Can you lay back for me keefe?" The Edaline imposter asked.

"Only if you say pleaz!"

"Please, keefe."

"Okayyy if your sure." Then I layed down like a professional lay downer.

It's a real sport, trust me.

For some reason I found the bird who flew over us really funny and I burst out laughing.

"What's so funny?" The Edaline imposter asked me sounding very sad and scared.

"The birdy flies! Follow the pretty birdy across the sky!"

The lady was looking more and more scared by the second so I decided to ask her what was wrong.
"Why's you scared?"

"I'm scared that your injury is really serious."

"Don't worry I feelz greats!" I gave her a thumbs up.

She gave me a tight smile that looked like fake.

For those of you who struggled to read that, I'm sorry! I realized that if his words were messed up then his thoughts would be too, so it's kinda confusing. And part of me wants to go back and get rid of it but I know it's important.
