I woke up to feel my emotions spiking with guilt, wait- not my emotions hers. "Elsie," I heard her mumble in-between rapid breaths. What did she want with Elysian? I sent her calming breezes and rubbed back but it was barley stopping that stupid shadowflux thingy. Her guilt, her pain, her anger, her disgust it was all a lot. It all a dream I said pulling her closer to me.

"I'm here Sophie!" A voice called. I still don't know what to feel about Elysian but foster was trusting her, so maybe I should too.

"Give her this!" She said urgently.

"You aren't a physician! What the heck is that?"

"It's to get rid of her stupid nightmares!" she said glaring at me, then she poured the liquid down fosters throat before I could protest further.

Sophie's facial expression softened and her emotions calmed down. "Thank you" I mumbled to Elysian.

Anything for her. She said looking me right in the eye.
Her gaze intensified and she said "Your perfect for each other, and she really loves you. Don't you dare hurt her."

And with that she conjured herself away. Leaving me there stroking Sophie's back wishing I would never have to let go.

Sophie's pov

After keefe had filled me in on Elsie coming to visit, giving me an elixir and leaving. But it felt like he was leaving some things out. We walked into Havenfield as kitchen to the smell of something amazing.

"Mmmmm what's that smell" keefe said voicing my thought.

"Breakfast!" Edaline said in a cheery tone.
"Oh Sophie your braids look pretty!"

Thank you, keefe did them. Then I realized what I said and started blushing. I glanced at keefe to see him smirking. Edaline gave me one of those sappy parent looks from any teens nightmares.

"How about you two go wake everyone one else up?"
  I climbed up the staircase keefe not far behind me. "Alright we need to do this very kindly- "WAKE UP THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE!" Keefe yelled.

That woke them up. "Keefe!" I whisper hissed. It worked keefe said with a shrug and a hand movement gesturing to our friends who were panicked and looking for a fire.

"WA-WHEREZAFIRE?!"  Dex shouted still very tired.

"There's no fire. keefe was just being, well, keefe." I said.

Groans came from each of my friends as they tried to go back to sleep. Ignoring keefe who was now rolling around on the ground cackling.
"Edaline made breakfast?" I said.

"Well why didn't you just say that!?", Dex exclaimed as he jumped up and clambered down the stairs everyone following close behind him.

"This.
Is.
Magical."
Keefe said in between mouthfuls of Edalines cooking. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Thank you!" Edaline replied, smiling brightly.

Her cooking and baking has always been amazing but something about this meal just screamed I'm better! Maybe it was who she was eating with, keefe was cracking jokes. Tam was rolling his eyes at us trying to not laugh. Dex was complimenting Keefe's now hair style, that still looked like tams. Keefe shot up from his spot and ran upstairs yelling "foster why didn't you tell me!" I laughed. Even fitz was laughing now. 

"This group is more fun than I thought. I think I'm gonna stick around." Maruca said.

"Glad you think so!" lihn said cheerfully.

"We should totally do this more often!" Biana squealed. "Like everyday! Actually once every two days cuz everyday would get boring and repetitive." She rambled on about that for awhile.

"You guys really should be heading home soon. We're taking Sophie to Atlantis today." Grady said taking a seat at the table.

"You are? Why?" I asked.

"That's a Surprise." Edaline said with a wink.

Time skip ⏭️ :)

They jumped into the whirlpool that led to Atlantis which was still a strange subject to Sophie. Reminding her of her first trip to Atlantis. She was actually wearing a similar dress to the one she had been warring that day except it was purple.

Grady grabbed one of her hands and Edaline grabbed her other. And they walked to a jewelry store, "what are we doing here?" I asked.

This is where we have always gotten Jolie and yours charm bracelets. I'm great friends with the owner she's really sweet. We walked in and the lady at the counter practically leaped into edalines arms for a hug.

"Eda! Long time no see!" She said excitedly.

"Hi, Raya how's it going?"

"I'm great!"

"And this must be the great Sophie foster!" She exclaimed hugging me. "You look so much like Jolie, it's as if your sisters! Oh it was meant to be!"

I smiled shyly at her.

"We're here for a new charm!" Grady said a shaky smile on his face. I squeezed their  hands. They squeezed back. "What do you recommend?" He asked.

She stared back  at us, a hand on her chin.  And as if  she were looking into our souls for the answer. "I got it!"

Then she scurried to the crack of the shop picking up a purple jewelry box with Elwin ruins painted on it in silver.  Edaline took the box and read "family." with a faint voice that was filled with emotion. She opened the box and inside there was 4 silver stock figures 2 tall 2 shorter, all holding hands with smiles on their faces. And one had wings as if they were an angel. Jolie I realized.
"It's perfect." I whispered my eyes filling up with tears. I clicked it onto my charm bracelet. A bracelet filled with memories. And now it had one that meant family. She helped the bracelet to her heart. And Grady pulled both of us into a hug.
It was perfect.
She loved them.
They were her family.

Too bad I have to make everything really sad in the next chapter 🥲 THIS BOOK IS ALMOST OVER 🤦‍♀️ I just realized that. Oops. What and I'm gonna do when this is finished. This is like all I've been doing when I get home from sports😭. Welp time to find some new hobby ig.
