Whispers of Longing: Embracing the Night

On this night, as the wind whispers its plea,

I contemplate inviting it in, to embrace me,

To feel its gentle caress, a soft touch on my skin,

As I ponder, emotions swirl within.

I think of tears, I think of laughter's song,

I think of missing every moment we long,

To be together, in each other's arms,

To share in each other's joys and charms.

The thought of running my fingers through your hair,

Of witnessing your smile, so bright and rare,

To offer a gentle caress, to touch your soul,

Brings me a joy that makes me whole.

When you knock on my window, every night,

In the depths of my dreams, in the soft moonlight,

I find myself wishing, in that fleeting trance,

To linger in that world of fantasy, in eternal dance.

But alas, reality beckons with the dawn,

And though the night may fade, and dreams be gone,

The memory of your presence, lingers on,

A beacon of hope, until the next night's song.
