Longing Hearts: A Tale of Distance and Devotion

My love, trust that my deepest desire,

Is to be by your side, to set our hearts on fire,

To be your partner in every sense of the word,

And to shower you with all the love you've ever heard.

Though at times I may seem distant, like a piece of ice,

Know that within me, there's a flame that could suffice,

To warm even the coldest of hearts, you see,

For my love for you runs deep, as deep as the sea.

But alas, life doesn't always align with our wishes,

And despite my longing, I must tend to life's dishes,

If it were up to me, I'd be there by your side,

Making you the happiest, with nothing to hide.

Every day without you feels like an eternity,

My heart aches for your touch, for your serenity,

To see your smile, to feel your embrace,

Would bring me joy beyond measure, in any case.

So believe me, my love, when I say this is true,

My happiness lies in making you happy, too,

For just the thought of seeing you smile,

Makes every moment, every mile, worthwhile.
