Embers of Resilience: A Journey Through Anguish

Anger, you ignite within me, a raging flame,

Dancing in the wounds, where pain lays claim,

Dreams shattered, scattered in the dust,

Come, drink of me, if you must.

I'll welcome you each morning, without fail,

Accepting all that comes, without avail,

For the more you burn, the brighter the memory glows,

The louder the scream, the quicker the tears flow.

Leaving behind a shadow, of what once was,

An empty vessel, devoid of love's cause,

For in your wake, you've left a barren land,

Where love's tender touch can no longer stand.

Yet still, I stand, amidst the ruins of my soul,

A testament to resilience, to life's toll,

For though you've taken much, you'll take no more,

For I'll rise from the ashes, stronger than before.
