In the depths of despair, a flicker of light,
A beacon of hope in the darkest night.
Amidst the shadows that suffocate my soul,
I cling to this glimmer to make me whole.
Suicide's whispers still linger nearby,
But the light offers solace, dispelling fear.
I grasp at it desperately, hoping to find,
A path to redemption, a peace of mind.
Hate still gnaws at the edges of my being,
But the light whispers softly, gently freeing.
For a moment, I feel the warmth of its glow,
A fleeting reprieve from the darkness below.
But as the shadows close in, the light dims,
And hope fades away as despair wins.
I'm pulled back into the depths of my strife,
As I succumb to the demons that haunt my life.
In the end, the darkness claims its prize,
And I'm lost forever in its cold, empty guise.
The flicker of hope extinguished in the night,
Leaving me alone in eternal blight.
