Walking into the kitchen I wondered about going out to dinner to celebrate. But I wasn't sure about going into town.
I heard Tony and Darious walking into the house.
"What about going out for dinner tonight?" I asked as they walked into the kitchen.
"I love that idea" Tony said as he grabbed a glass and poured himself some iced tea.
"Are you sure you want to go into town?" Darious asked as he sat at the table.
"Yes and no, I was thinking maybe another place to eat but I don't know any other towns around here" I said, grabbing a glass of iced tea and sitting down at the kitchen table.
"What's wrong with the restaurant here?" Tony asked as he sat down next to me.
"This town doesn't like Tori" Darious said quietly, he knew Tony would have an issue with that but he didn't want to be the one to say it.
"What?" Tony asked in a tone that was laced with venom. Darious looked at me with a pleading look.
"I guess this town had an issue with my aunt, they didn't like her either, and well they extended their dislike of my aunt onto me" I said sipping on my tea.
"Looks like we are going to eat in this town" Tony said as he looked between Darious and myself.
"Okay, I'll go take a shower and get ready" I said as I stood up and went into my bedroom.
I could hear Tony asking Darious questions about what has gone on in this town. Poor Darious was looking uncomfortable telling Tony how they were in this town.
After my shower, I stood looking at what I wanted to wear. It was still in the high eighties outside so it had to be light. Then I saw the perfect dress that I wanted to wear.
Once the dress was on, I put my hair into a light bun, and applied just a little bit of makeup, and small dangly earrings.
I slipped on my sandals, standing in front of the mirror. I thought this outfit was perfect.
The dress went just below my knees, it was cream colored and it had soft red roses throughout it. I loved how it hung off of the shoulders, I just wish I had a necklace that would fit this dress.
Then it dawned on me, I went into my aunt's jewelry box that she had in the closet.
My aunt wasn't much for jewelry except she kept a few necklaces and some earrings for special occasions, and this occasion was special to me.
Walking into the kitchen, Darious' eyes darkened as his eyes roamed the length of my body.
Tony walked into the house and stopped when he saw me standing there.
"My dear cat, you look absolutely stunning" he said as he walked over and kissed my forehead.
Tony looked down and when he spotted my necklace a smile appeared on his face.
"This is perfect" he said as his fingers traced the outline of a black stone that was encased in silver on a delicate gold chain.
I noticed Tony had changed clothes, he was dressed in black slacks, and a black shirt that had a few buttons open exposing part of his muscular chest. I loved how no matter what temperature it was it never affected him. I couldn't wait for that but I had to wait for a hundred years for that benefit to kick in.
Darious stood up, he was dressed in khaki shorts, a white polo shirt, he looked handsome as well. A smile developed on my face as I looked over both of these amazing men, how did I get so lucky to have them in my life.
