"We're going horseback riding?" I asked excitedly.

"I thought you would enjoy it, plus it gives you a chance to see what they are like for riding" Darious said as we walked over to the two that were saddled and ready for us.

Darious kept the handyman on since he had no ties to Devon. The man helped around the farm when needed plus he kept an eye on the place. I guess this man was also a werewolf, but he just wanted a simple life, and this place offered it to him.

I walked up to the one that I was going to be riding.

"Which one are you?" I asked as the horse put his face against my hand as I scratched his face.

"That one is Destiny," Darious said as he walked over to his horse.

"Destiny, I like that on you" I said as I gave him a quick kiss on the nose. The horse whined and as I unhooked the cross lines, he walked with me to the paddock where we would be riding.

The rest of the horses were in their stalls for the time being, it was nice and cool with the doors, windows and fans going for them.

Thankfully we were riding with western saddles, it has been years since I rode an English saddle. This one gave me a tad bit more reassurance.

Once Darious and myself were up in the saddles, we steered our horses towards the woods, down a path that Darious wanted to take me on.

"I found something that I think you will absolutely love," he said as he rode next to me.

As the horses walked at a nice slow pace I was taking everything in, it was hard to believe that this was all my land now. I knew my aunt had extra land and that Devon was holding onto it, but I didn't know he was trying to claim it as his, thinking I didn't know anything about it.

I could hear something in the distance that sounded like a large waterfall. As we got closer, Darious stopped our horses.

Darious got down off of his horse and pulled out two halters that he had brought with him.

He slipped the halters on and took off the bridles.

"This way they can graze while I take you to a special place that I found" he said as he helped me off of my horse. He tied them to a hitching post that he had put in sometime last week while I was learning about being a vampire.

Once the horses were attached to the post and the saddles were loosened a little, he took my hand and I followed him down this little dirt path that was off of the main path.

The noise of the water grew louder and once we rounded a bend there was a large waterfall. It had to be at least fifteen feet in height, and it landed into a large pond.

"At the end of the pond, there is a stream that it flows into, and it travels over both of these properties" he said as we walked closer.

It was beautiful, there were wildflowers on either side of the bank of the pond. There were weeping willows that were growing near the pond as well.

I followed Darious along a tiny rocky path that led up to the waterfall, he turned and smiled at me as I followed him past a few weeping willows. Once past their hanging branches, there was a small opening in the rock wall.

Walking in I noticed we were behind the waterfall. I couldn't believe my eyes, as I walked into this cavern, it was dry but in front was the waterfall. We had our own private spot where no one would think to look.

"This is absolutely amazing Darious" I said turning around, taking it all in.

"I thought you would love it, plus this can be our little spot" he said as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into his body.
