Keith rested on his bed for a whole week, not even leaving his room. Missing his classes and failing his exams by not showing up.

He needed to rest, and he got his rest. His family were nothing but grateful that their child is safe. Even if he was a bit demanding not lifting a finger by his own even when he could. His mother would feed him. And his father would help him take showers, treating him like a baby.

He didn't like nor hate that, he simply didn't want to do anything unless they forced him to.

His face healed but his ribs still hurt. He gained strength to his body. But his mental health was not at its best. He wanted to be alone all the time so words of what happened would not slip out of his mouth.

What happened happened. There was no reason to tell the truth and reopen the case that will burden him and his family with more suffer as they would be against powerful families.

He saw a sea of faces in day light when people visited him. And a sea of monsters in the night when he slept. His nightmares were the cruelest of what he had experienced up till that point.

Caro, Zain, Josh, May and other friends from high school, few people from college, and many relatives showed up. But it didn't cheer him up. He would feel more bothered than when being alone.

Leo was the last to show up from his friends.

That beta knew no sympathy, and it comforted Keith that Leo won't pity him like everyone does.

"Why did you go?" Leo asked after a long time of staying silent.

"I was forced."

"What happened there."

"I blaked out."

He gave the same answer to everyone. Sometimes he would answer before hearing the question. Knowing what they wanted to ask. Everyone wanted to know what happened up that hill.

Leo didn't repeat the question or ask another one. He sat near the window and stared at it ignoring his friend's presence. Giving Keith the silence he craved near people.

When the beta left it was only because another guest showed up. It was Keith's uncle Jeff, who still lives in their hometown with the rest of the extended family. Jeff Hart, whom people always noticed the striking resemblance between him and Keith, sat on a chair next to his nephew.

His face showed a hint of pity that Keith hated so much. Especially on Jeff's face، who looked just like him but older. It felt that he is looking at his older self pitying his presence.

"Where is Kathy, uncle? Is she with you?"

Keith asked knowing that she might have returned to live with him, just like she did for many of her teenage years. His parents faces showed how anxious they became, hearing him asking about his twin for the millionth time since he came back.

"No!" Jeff answered turning his head to his brother. "Now he mentioned her. I didn't see her around. Where is she?"

But the father didn't answer. Making both Keith and his uncle angry. Kath disappeared from the face of earth and her parents acting like nothing happened.

"I will tell you what happened!" He said in almost a scream. "If you tell me where is Kathy and why she's not here, I will tell you what happened."

He looked desperate. He was desperate. To the point where he was willing to tell them what happened the night Jason died. Or that is what they thought.

They didn't believe in his words completely but he wasn't the type to lie. So as soon as Jeff left they started talking.

It started with. "Do you remember Johny? The alpha who lives alone next to the kids park?"
