AN/ here is a long chapter of yapping.
————

Two years ago when Keith left, there was this scene that happened and never left his mind, it would even appear in his nightmares, at some point he hallucinated it.

It was when he dragged his bags outside of his house waiting for long two minutes before the taxi, that took him to the train station, arrived.

He was nervous, he was having second thoughts, he thought about going back home and help his sister, who he left laying on the ground, but he didn't.

Part of him thought he regretted standing there cause he left Kath, other part knew why he had all these nightmares, it's because of those piercing eyes, that shook him to the core, when they landed on him, waiting for him to leave.

His house next to Layle's house, which meant Layle would come out any minute, he would see the bags and know about Keith's plan. Keith was panicking thinking about this possibility.

And the Prince's door opened right when he thought of this. It opened slowly, but the noise the metal made was loud, as if a person was spying from inside. But it didn't take long till it opened all the way and the alpha behind the door came out, he stood tall, his hands in his pockets, and his uncaring eyes pierced through Keith from behind the glasses.

Keith, who almost passed out thinking it way Layle, was relieved that it was his father. But mr. Prince didn't make him feel easier, he was happy that Keith was leaving, but he looked at him with disgust, with hatred and pity, he hated weak men, he hated men who run away and don't face their problems, and at that moment it was Keith, he made Keith look small and fell small.

He, who was happy the beta was leaving and his son would be free of his influence, didn't hate the beta. Keith was lovable, mr. Prince acknowledged that, but at that moment he couldn't help but let his emotions to betas appear in his eyes, they are truly the weakest of the human kind.

And those yellow eyes, the color of the sun, same as his son, burned Keith. He hated the way mr. Prince looks at him with passion.

Every now and then, Keith would face those cold burning eyes in his dreams, silently judging, as he yet makes another mistake.

Keith re lived that moment standing at the door of that alpha, his hand that held Danny's hand squeezed unintentionally and the boy winced in pain.

"Uncle.."

His little voice woke Keith up, and the beta gave him a small smile.

"I'm sorry, I was just thinking of something."

"Of what?"

Danny asked but Keith didn't answer, he opened the gate and entered the house of the Princes.

The garden was as big as he remembers, but the plants were all dead, and covered with snow. He walked fast to the front door, and Danny ran in front of him.

He didn't wear a jacket, he didn't need to, but standing for few seconds at the front door before Danny's grandmother Opens it, freezed him.

"Grandma."

Danny screamed with joy jumping, and the omega opened her arms for a big hug, sweeping him from the ground.

Keith stood at the door on the verge of shivering, he couldn't bring himself to set a foot inside without her inviting him, but he needed to, even if he didn't want.

"Come in."

He heard her small voice and almost ran inside.

"It's cold outside."
