His smirk turns into a grin

"Well for a start do you remember that we can't make choices for people? Well when the lycans were created by the enemy the only way we could calm the beast is to pair them of, each wolf has the ability to be monsters, yet each mate pairing has the ability to take the monster and make them content. so we knew we were on the right track and eventually the monsters could recognise those that could make their life better and that's where the bond was created."

"So you created mates to make good from the bad?"

"Exactly, now we really must go. Time goes a lot faster here and your Carter is in pain. Just think of him and you will find him. And remember who you are and what I ask of you"

"Thank you"

I answer honestly then I close my eyes and think of him. Suddenly the world around me moves as bile rises in my stomach. As my knees hit the ground I barf all over the ground as the wind whips around my face painfully.

"Damn you could have warned me"

I hear laughing in my head as I look around. The place is like a living nightmare as lightning strikes hitting a figure in the middle. the light of it helping me see through the dust and dirt as Carter screams.

Cleo surges forward pushing me to move

"What in heavens name happened! Where are we and why is Carter in so much pain!"

She shouts in my head, the sound of the wind is almost painful

"I'll explain after"

I answer, My heart thumps in my chest as I push myself to my feet and fight my way to Carter, I could feel him again. My heart wanted to burst with joy as lightning from all directions hit him and he screams, throwing his head back with his arms out to his side.

The noise is strangled and pained, it makes my bones shudder. I'd never heard anything that sounded as painful as that sound before. It brought a tear to my eyes as I call out to him, but my voice gets lost in the wind as my hair flew to the side and dust stings my eyes.

I push through the wind as his body lights up like a lighthouse in the dark as lightning strikes him. I gasp as the pain spreads throughout my chest, it's like 40 red hot pokers to my chest but I push through it. It wouldn't kill me and the pain would be worth it if it meant I was back in his arms.

His scream surrounds me, travelling in the wind and pushing me towards him as his eyes open. I run as his face relaxes and his eyes light up and I smile at him, I land on my knees in front of him and I pull him into a hug and shout in his ear

"I'm alive Carter, I'm alive"

I pull back so I can see his face, the lightning had stopped and the wind was starting to ease down. He looked at me like he was terrified that I wasn't real

"No I watched you die? I watched you die, I'm just seeing things?"

I grab his face and he gasps, his eyes continue to water as he looks at me

"Because I won't ever die, I'm like you. I won't ever, ever die. We are one Carter I am alive and I am here"

He smashes his lips against mine in a bruising kiss, full of so much love my heart felt like it could explode. Then he pulls back to look at me as the darkness hits my back and I start to absorb it

"But how are you here? I'm like 10 hours away from home?"

I chuckle, I wish I knew how I got here

"When I died I learned a lot about my gifts. But I am alive Carter and I am yours for forever. I promise this isn't a trick"

He gasps as I start to heal him. Jesus was right, he would have a lots of scaring over his body and one long scar from his temple to his jaw, the rest were on his chest and back.

the only thing that can injure Carter is Carter. He did this to himself and he wanted it to happen so the chances of him having no scarring where his flesh had burned away in chunks were very slim.

I make them stop bleeding and heal over so they wouldn't hurt. I run my hand down his beautiful face as his heartbeat starts to beat to the rhythm of my own again. Making us one and connecting our bonds in place. He smashes his lips against my own, pulling at my bottom lip roughly so I open my mouth and let him in, groaning as he pulls me tight to his body and I taste him. All our emotions hit us one after the other as I kiss him back until I remember my mission and I pull back to look at him

"Hold on to me"

I tell him breathlessly, then I think of us in the thick forest around us and
Suddenly we are among the trees. He gasps, turning and emptying his stomach. To my surprise mine didn't turn like the last time. In Fact I was quite ok but I did feel guilty for not warning him.

"Sorry I should have warned you"

"What the fuck was that Carly?"

He splutters, white as a ghost.
I shrug, a grin on my face. It's not often I get to shock Carter so this is definitely a first, but I don't have time to enjoy it because I can feel the witches closing in. So I touch him and show him every single thing, every single detail. My thoughts, my fears, my shock, when he pulls back his jaw is slack and his eyes are wide as he stares at me.

As I touch him he was numb in shock but we don't have time for that so I think of him coming back to the moment. I needed him to not listen to the witches.

"Carter you can't listen to them, they just want your power, iv been in the darkness. Nobody deserves that but that's what will happen if they get your power. Please come back to me"

He blinks rapidly and nods his head

"I'm just in shock that you would come back, that you would leave that place and come back to a world of misery"

I frown grabbing his face

"If it was the other way around what would you have done"

"Come back"

"Ok, see. This is me and you against the world and nothing will keep me from you. Nothing ever! Especially not now. I love you Carter and I need you to trust me. I need you to distract the witches until I send them to Jesus but you can't fall for their tricks. Just remember that they killed me, they took me from you and it could have been forever and we would have never seen each other again. They did this so please don't fall for their tricks ok?"

He frowns smashing his lips against mine again then he pulls back

"I promise I won't fall for it. I love you. I love you so much Carly"

He kisses me again and I moan, I didn't want to leave him, not even for a second. I pull back and hug him

"Hold on and get ready"

"Aw no are you doing the world spi——-"

I just do it, landing us in the middle of the clearing again. The place was a mess. Trees pulled from their roots, dirt and debris all over the place. The park benches were ruined. It looked like a hurricane had hit.

"Holy shit you really went to town"

"Yeah this only happened in the last hour, you should see the rest"

I look at him worriedly but he doesn't seem worried. In Fact the way he is looking at me makes me blush and smash my legs together, he throws his head back and he laughs pulling me tight against his chest and sniffing my head.

"You have no idea how much it hurt to lose you"

I feel the power of the witches drawing closer so I look up at him and he frowns
