    "Let's be honest here, I know by your thoughts that your never going to change so I'll just make it clear for you all shall I"
   
    Carter says sitting up straighter and leaning across the table and looking deacon in the eyes.
   
    "You have never liked me and you won't ever like me, I don't care what you think of me, just like I don't care what any of you think of me. I care about Carly, I care about Adlai, I care about my immediate family and a few worthy people and I care about my people. The ones who I protect every single day. You don't class me as family and iv finally realised that you won't ever feel that way about me So I'll be straight with you, think what you want about me, but if you think a bad thought about my daughter again, If you wish her dead, if you wish anything bad about her I'll do to you what I'd do to any of my pack, to any human or creature that is not my family. So if all that stuff that Carly just said isn't clear, know that I'm making myself extremely fucking clear right now. I'll string you up by your balls and let my wolves eat your bowls out of your body as you watch them because I can make you breakable and killable and don't ever fucking forget it"
   
    Carter clears his throat, kisses my cheek then sits back casually as everyone watches him wide eyed and honestly terrified
   
    "And ever say a bad word about my son, daughter or granddaughter again and I'll make you feel pain that not even carter can make you feel and don't ever fucking forget it"
   
    Mum tells them downing a glass of poitín as the tension was thick, I was not expecting it to go like this.
   
    "So I think you owe them all an apology and from now on just don't say or think stupid fucking shit again and we can go back to normal, and I'm just making it really fucking clear now carter is my family and always will be"
   
    Luca tells them smirking, Isla snorts lifting a shot
   
    "Yeah I agree he is definitely my family"
   
    "Mine too, you're on your own deacon. They were your thoughts not mine"
   
    Ailm tells him moving the chair towards Isla and i can't help myself and I laugh. Mum breaks next and soon everyone but deacon and Carter are trying to stop themselves from giggling at this really inappropriate moment.
   
    "The thoughts on your daughter were low and I really do regret them. Ailms right they were my thoughts not hers and now that I have seen the abyss I get it. I understand if your done with me, but I hope one day in the future we can move past this. just don't paint Ailm, Isla or Jake with the same brush that you paint me with"
   
    "Done"
   
    Carter tells him, pushing a shot across the table, they tap the table and down the shot then Carter holds out his hand and deacon shakes it.
   
    "Damn our family gatherings are always so entertaining I think I might write a book"
   
    Bella says beside me making me giggle as she passes us both more shots, we both take them as Adlai runs towards us
   
    "I got to dance on Daniels toes it was so much fun"
   
    "Now that does sound like fun but the ceremony is about to begin, so why don't you sit and wait until it's over then me and you can go dance some more"
   
    Bella tells a very excited Adlai she squeaks in excitement then she climbs back on her seat between Daniel and Gerald, the guards fall in around her as they follow her around like a little fan group, each of them love her too but Gerald never lets them get too close.
   
    He is her protector and always by her side, other than at training when mum has her help with breakfast but she would begin training soon herself, we have been training since we were around 2 years old so her training would start soon too.
   
    We watch on proudly as Arthur becomes alpha, welcoming his Luna into the pack also. She was from Ellas pack but we didn't know her very well.
   
    what we did know of her made her sound nice in my opinion. She comes to greet us all after the ceremony is over, Arthur sticks to her side. She was a beautiful blonde haired girl around the same age as me, she was a lot taller than me and her body resembles a model on a fancy high fashion runway, her skin has a beautiful tan colour to it that matched her bright green vibrant eyes. When she hugged me, I felt this rush of love for her.
   
    This girl wasn't a bitch, in fact she's done nothing but internally freak out since joining the family, her reasons for changing the event to black tie was so she could stand tall, she felt like she had to keep up with the Jones's a little, little did she know must of my family refuse to even use glasses.
   
    "Oh your aura is so pure, don't try so hard. the family will love you for being yourself, you don't need to be posh or fancy, we are all a pile of savages at heart so just go with it and if you ever need a friend you've got me right next door"
   
    She sags her shoulders in relief, the stress falls off her face as she relaxes her body slightly
   
    "You have no idea how much I needed to hear that right now"
   
    I lift 2 shots and hand her both of them and then I lift another 2
   
    "Come on, let's have some fun. If you want to win over the ladies your going to need to drink plenty, dance even more and do something wild and I promise they will love you"
   
    She chuckles nodding her head
   
    "Don't you dare fill my mates head with bad ideas Carly"
   
    Carter snorts at Arthur
   
    "Oh please mine is the good one, an angel"
   
    He states kissing my cheek, he thought so highly of me it was comical, Arthur rolls his eyes
   
    "Abby don't listen to her"
   
    "Seriously I was just giving her pointers, she doesn't need to go crazy but look at them all, they look
    scared of her, I'm just helping her relax around them"
   
    I answer completely offended by him and what he thought of me
   
    "If anything I'd let Carly ease her into it before lilly gets drunk and ruins her mind"
   
    Carter tell him as he points out lilly who's drinking a line of shots. Abby snorts, giggling at the sight. Arthur purges his lips
   
    "What about beer pong? Teams of 2, Abby and you for the first round then we will rotate them so each of them needs to be on her side at least once"
   
    I clap my hands together excitedly
   
    "Oh it's on and we are so going to win, us against you both?"
   
    I ask, looking between them, Carter shrugs, not caring either way. But just as we start to set up Adlai runs over
   
    "Daddy will you dance with me please"
   
    My heart melts as I watch them, his face splits out into a huge toothy grin as he lifts her up and places her on his hip, I follow them pulling out my phone and I record the moment as carter dances around the floor with Adlai in his hands, it was a slow tune but soon mum appears beside me excitedly.
   
    "Wait for the next song, it's going to be soooooooo cute"
   
    The music changed to 'my girl' and my heart started to thump as carter placed her on her feet, by now there was little to nobody on the floor, all of them terrified of carter but he didn't care. He spun her around to the music as they danced it together. It was a moment I knew I would remember forever as she giggles spinning around the floor like a true princess, she spots me at the side and grins at me
   
    "Come dance with us mummy"
   
    I grin, handing mum my phone and I make my way to them, Carter kisses my lips softly taking my hand, I take adlais other hand and we spin her around the floor, she giggles and laughs the entire time.
   
    When the music ends she skips off the floor to Gerald as carter pulls me closer swaying us from side to side.
   
    "Your unbelievably cute with her"
   
    "I never knew how much I needed to be a dad and how much you needed to be a mum"
   
    I smile nodding my head, it's true. My whole life I thought I'd wait to have kids, I wanted to do it right but now I know that all I need to do right is love her unconditionally.
   
    "She definitely changed our lives for the better"
