  He kisses my forehead then he pulls me in close and we finish the dance in each other's arms, when it's over he pulls back.
   
    "We better go join Abby, she's sitting alone"
   
    I growl shaking my head
   
    "Why are they so damn picky, I love our family but I hate that they are so closed of. Come I hate to think of her sitting alone"
   
    He smiles leading us off the floor, the guards follow us as we make it back to Abby. She smiles as she sees me.
   
    "Your daughter is adorable"
   
    I grin at her taking a seat beside her and pouring some shots
   
    "Thank you, she changed our lives for the better for sure"
   
    I hand her a shot and she takes it, we take them together as Arthur joins us
   
    "Come, the beer pong has been set up"
   
    I grin, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the table where Carter and Daniel were finishing setting it up. We take turns having a blast and by the end we are giggling like schoolgirls and had gained the attention of some of the other members of our family, mum got up next taking my place, and soon she was loving Abby just as much as I was.
   
    I pulled Bella along next and she begrudgingly got up and joined in, by the end she was a whole lot more relaxed around her and after a few hours they had all accepted her with open arms and grins on their faces.
   
    Carter pulls me back to our seat, pulling me on his knee and he kisses my jaw. We watch the crowd dance and have a ball around us but my entire body goes ridged as I hear a heart startling scream ring throughout the marquee, before I can even process the sound carter had me on my feet and he's yanking me towards the noise and only then did I realise it was Adlai
   
    We rush through the crowd trying to find them, after a minute we find them on the dance floor, Adlai is curled in Geralds arms crying into his shoulder as the guards frantically search the area.
   
    "What happened?"
   
    I ask Carter as we fight our way towards them through the crowd who had stopped to watch the craziness
   
    "She saw the dark witch"
   
    Cleo pushes forward growling as carter clears the way, we make it to there side and I fall to my knees grabbing her little body.
   
    "Ssssh baby mummy's here"
   
    Gerald passes her over as I read her, I close my eyes and open my mind going back a few moments to see what she could see.
   
    She was twirling around holding Geralds hands and making herself dizzy, giggling like crazy.
   
    But as she turned the witch steps out of the crowd and he watches her, she stops twirling and turns back towards him but he's gone, as she turns to find him he walks out of the crowd on the other side, she sees him from the corner of her eye so she turns back in that direction and the same thing happens again only on the other side,
   
    her anxiety was pumping through her body so fast I thought her heart might explode.
   
    then suddenly there were 10 of him surrounding her and they all ran towards her as she screams bloody murder and he disappears
   
    As I pull back and open my eyes my own chest hurt from my heart beating so fast. I look to find Carter, he glares at no one in particular as he searches the area frantically with the guards. Mum and dads join us on the floor, mum coming to my side as the men search through the area. Carter growls in frustration turning to us.
   
    "He's not here anymore"
   
    Mum chews her bottom lip, she had read her too
   
    "I'm not sure he ever was in body, more like in spirit"
   
    "But why? He doesn't care about Carter's powers so why come back? He said himself he wanted nothing to do with us after finding out what she was"
   
    Mum shrugs clueless, dads join us looking rather worried
   
    "We should go, portal us back and the guards can take the cars"
   
    I nod my head and turn to find Abby who was coming towards us
   
    "Is everything ok?"
   
    "Not really, we really need to go but why don't you came over a day this week for coffee or shopping or something? It would mean the world to me and Arthur has my number so don't be afraid to use it"
   
    She grins pulling me into a hug
   
    "That would mean so much thank you, I hope your little girl feels better"
   
    I smile pulling back and waving then I turn and everyone catches my body and I think of us at home. As we arrive carter sniffs the air and closes his eyes then he nods letting us go.
   
    "Gerald clear the rooms before they go down"
   
   
    He nods, running down the stairs and checking all the rooms, the wolves come running to greet us, Adlai grabs them both pulling them into a hug. She loved them so much I had lost all power of ghost, he preferred her now.
   
    Mum goes to the coffee pot and starts preparing it as I pull off my shoes and pull my hair into a messy bun on my head, then I take Adlais hair down and fluff it out, before quickly plaiting it.
   
    "All clear"
   
    Gerald calls, I take Adlais' hand and we head to her room and I help her change into her pjs. When she's done she takes my hand and follows me into my room where I do the same
   
    "Can I sleep with Gerald tonight?"
   
    I chew my lip looking at her
   
    "We will need to ask daddy, he doesn't like that"
   
    "Why, it's just like my brother sleeping beside me"
   
    I smile at her
   
    "Maybe you should say that to daddy"
   
    Maybe if he knew that's how she thought of him he might ease on the rules a little. I'd personally feel safer if he slept at the bottom of her bed especially after what the witch did Tonight. I dress quickly and we go back to the kitchen.
   
    "Daddy can Gerald sleep in my room tonight? I'm scared"
   
    Carter looks conflicted
   
    "Please daddy he's like my big brother, I'd feel safer if he was in there with me"
   
    Carter looks to dads, for once they looked serious about Adlai and Gerald's relationship
   
    "Maybe it's not a bad idea Carter; for tonight anyway"
   
    Scott tell him, Carter looks to jaxon next
   
    "If it were me I'd allow it after tonight"
   
    "Ok, but he sleeps on top of the covers and the wolves are in the bed beside you"
   
   Gerald nods, everyone felt uncomfortable. We all felt a little scared or something, like there was a heavy dark cloud looming over our heads and making us all anxious as we took our coffee outside to finish the night with a smoke, poor Adlai came with us, too afraid to even sit on her own. Not that I don't blame her, not after tonight.
   
    We curl up in bed silently, I was so worried and confused by the nights events and I couldn't put my finger on it, I felt like we were missing something obvious.
   
    "Rest Carly we can deal with this all tomorrow"
   
    I nod rolling into his chest, he holds me against him gently kissing my forehead
   
    "I love you"
   
    "Love you too"
   
    It took a while for me to finally sleep but when I did it felt like I was only asleep a few moments before I heard her scream. Our doors were open so we could hear her and thankfully we did. I jump out of my bed slightly dizzy on my feet as I go to her room, Carter rushes past me.
   
    As we enter she's screaming bloody murder, still asleep as Gerald tries to soothe her. I jump into the bed and yank her towards me, I close my eyes and open my mind.
   
    He surrounds her, there are at least 10 of him, they are attached to her with string trying to fight their way out of her grasp as another figure of the witch stands in front of her pulling on them as they pull on her, it doesn't hurt but it does feel terrifying.
