I grab the book of the shelf and I beat him around the head with making mum laugh
"Why would you be that stupid! 8 years and we have one fight! ONE! and you cast him off like he's nothing! ohh no you don't! You get him back right now!!!"
I hit him repeatedly and he growls grabbing the book and throwing it away his eyes were wide
"What is it with you all and books I'm burning every damn book in this house if you hit me with one again"
He snaps at us all making mum crack up and laugh
"If you feel so strongly about it I'll get him back here and check his thoughts"
"Good! do it right now!"
He rolls his eyes then they glaze over and he smiles at me
"He will be here in a minute"
"Good, how many fights have you and I had over the years? How many have me and dads had, damn— no you know what your the high maintenance one who's always fighting not me, would you like to be cast out of their lives if they all dropped dead afterwards"
He frowns purging his lips at me

Dad smirks stretching out on the sofa and throwing his arm around mum

Jaxon adds resting his head on mum's knee and pulling her arm over his chest. The poor woman was like a pin cushion. Getting poked and prodded in every direction.
"Well I don't, I want my Carly back"
Carter buries his head in the crook of my neck and he sniffs me moaning and holding me tightly. The door knocks and Carter freezes then lifts his head
"Come in"
He shouts as Daniel walks in looking extremely guilty, I get up to go to him but Carter stops me.
"Wait I need to check him first"
I huff looking at him he smiles at me and takes a breath of relief
"Damn it's good to see you alive, I'm so sorry. I'm so fucking sorry for what I said to you, I didn't mean it and then that happened and I swear I'll never say a bad word to you again"
I go to move but Carter's grip on me is tight so I growl shoving him of me
"Carter so help me, I'll hit you with a book again! Or even better I'll throw the entire bookcase on you! Let me at least read him and no offence but it's good to argue once and a while"
"Fine go to him but one hug then you get back here"
I nod, smiling then I run to him pulling him into a huge hug. He hugs back, spinning me from side to side.
"I'm sorry Carly cù"

He pulls back his eyebrows in the air
"What is heaven's name have you got to be sorry for?"
"I'm sorry for your loss Daniel, I'm really sorry for your loss"
I hug him again
"But she was a witch Carly"

I pull back and smile and I yank him into the room and I point to Carter
