    "For wanting me"
   
    She whispers, I pull her back against my chest kissing her cheek
   
    "Always my love"
   
    I say smiling, we finish her hair as we giggle about all her friends and how funny they were. By the time I was done she had told me her favourite colour, what her favourite food was and what she wanted to do for fun.
   
    "All done"
   
    She runs her hand down her hair and giggles, jumping up and going to the mirror.
   
    "I love it, thank you so much this is the best day ever"
   
    I stand beside her and grin. She was such an angelic little girl. So beautiful. 
   
    "Let's go show Carter"
   
    I tell her, she grabs my hand and runs from the room giggling. I run with her and back to the kitchen where Carter was sitting at the table doing some paperwork. He stops, dropping the work on the table and he grins at us
   
    "Oh my word, you really do look like a real princess now"
   
    She twirls giggling and then she curtsies at him
   
    "Thank you daddy"
   
    Everyone but I and her freeze. I looks to Carter who was blinking rapidly in shock. He clears his throat, looking to me then he smiles getting up and kneeling on the ground in front of her
   
    "Your very welcome princess"
   
    She runs into his arms and he freezes again, I could feel how emotional he felt at this moment. He closes his eyes and he wraps his arms around her little body and hugs her tight. Mums eyes water, biting her lip as she watches carter hold her. He pulls back and smiles at her.
   
    "Now, why don't you go play with ghost or watch tv until the meeting is over?"
   
    She nods looking towards the tv
   
    "I have to go to the shops to get stuff for dinner. Maybe Adlai would like to join me?"
   
    Mum asks us I nod my head
   
    "Yeah that's fine, would you like that Adlai?"
   
    She grins deviously making me laugh
   
    "Yes please"
   
    She jumps, running to mum. Mum takes her hand and heads for the door
   
    "Max needs to go with you and Scott"
   
    Mum groans rolling her eyes at Carter
   
    "Seriously? Why"
   
    He rolls his eyes
   
    "Because your the Luna and she is now the princess so you both will have protection"
   
    He says matter of factly
   
    "It's fine I'll come with you"
   
    Scott kisses mums cheek and they all leave. When they are gone carter opens his arms for me to sit on his knee
   
    "She called me daddy"
   
    He says proudly
   
    "Are you sure that's a good idea"
   
    Jaxon asks us, Carter frowns
   
    "Why would it not be?"
   
    He chews his lip thinking
   
    "Well just imagine the pain you're both going to deal with when she's gone"
   
    Jaxon says cautiously
   
    "We will have pain, regardless if she calls us mum and dad or not."
   
    Carter answers
   
    "Agreed, she wants us as parents for the last few months of her life. We can be that for her so why would we not let her have this one thing? plus I want to keep her"
   
    I tell Carter, he smirks, kissing my lips softly and pulling back.
   
    "And keep her we shall"
   
    I ignore dad and kiss Carter again, this time deeper. My heart was so full of joy, I can't remember feeling this happy before, it may be a little bittersweet but I was going to enjoy it until I couldn't no more.
   
    We spent the entire morning arranging for the prefab houses to be built within the territory, when that was done carter contacted the agent who owns the land that we want to buy and tells him we want it.
   
    Mum arrives back with dad and Adlai just as we finish up. They came in with bags and bags of stuff.
   
    "What in heaven's name did you buy?"
   
    I ask them laughing
   
    "It was so amazing, nana bought me princess bedsheets for my room and a huge big doll house and lots of books and dolls. And she got me a tea set and princess clothes. It was so much fun mummy I can't wait to play with it all"
   
    "She called us mum"
   
    Cleo whimpers emotionally
   
    "Did nana? How good of her"
   
    I ask mum cocking my head to the side, she blushes shrugging her shoulders
   
    "You get a name, I want one too"
   
    She tells me, making me laugh.
   
    "Well then let's see this doll house"
   
    I answer
   
    "It's a princess castle"
   
    She rushes over to me, taking my hand and pulling me towards the bags that Scott was still carrying in. The mess was already bothering me and we hadn't even opened any of it yet.
   
    "Come Adlai we can unpack after, we need to go to the hospital first"
   
    Carter tells her, holding out his hand to her. She sighs, turning on her heels and she runs back to him.
   
    He takes it then he holds his other out for me. It came so natural to him it was almost comical.
   
   
   Daniel and Rob both grab my arm and I portal us all to the abandoned part of the hospital where everyone was being put into separate rooms.
   
    "Now Princess Adlai, you have the most important job out of all of us"
   
    Carter tells her, kneeling in front of her
   
    "Really?"
   
    She looks at Carter and he smiles back at her.
   
    "Yes, you are going to take Rob and go from room to room and find out everything the kids need."
   
    He looks to Rob
   
    "Write down the room number and the age of the kids, if they are girl or boy and so on. If they ask for any certain toys and don't let Adlai out of your sight, not even for a second"
   
    He nods as carter chews his lip
   
    "Maybe hold her hand"
   
    Rob screws his nose up
   
    "No actually carry her so she doesn't get tired"
   
    I snort as he freaks out, Rob looks to me
   
    "Can you hit him or something? This version of him is really starting to freak me out"
   
    Carter growls
   
    "What I'm being nice to her!"
   
    "Exactly it's weird, I'm not use to it"
   
    He waves his hands between Adlai and carter, Carter pinches the bridge of his nose shaking his head
   
    "Rob just carry her and do what you
    Are told"
   
    He huffs, rolling his eyes
   
    "Fine I'll go but I'm not carrying her unless she gets tired, I'll hold her hand but seriously stop being weird"
   
    He snaps grabbing a clipboard and taking adlais hand, he marches of with her towards the first room, they start at one side as we start at the other, finding out what the adults would like to do for work and what they needed to survive until housing was put in place.
   
    As we enter the first room I was delighted to see the man who was in charge of the rogue pack.
   
    "Miss Adlai already looks a sight better, I can't thank you enough for all you are doing for us"
   
    I shrug
   
    "Thank us by joining training every morning. All whom are 16 and over must train and all kids need to be registered to school. We will supply everything you need until you are given jobs within the pack"
   
    Carter answers immediately
   
    "Of Course alpha"
   
    Carter nods then sighs
