    "That's fine we have a meeting anyway, Adlai can come with us"
   
    Carter tells her, standing up and taking my hand. I smile at him. The shock that our daughter that we won't have for a very long time will be claimed by my best friends son who will be heaven knows how old at the time. That he could take her before she's the age to go stirred something inside me. Fear, terror and honesty jealousy. I will wait many many years to birth our little girl and the thought of sharing her with anyone but my parents makes me queasy.
   
    We wait until the family is gone before heading back inside. I get Adlai dressed in black jeans and a yellow cardigan. I put on the same myself. I loved matching with her.
   
    Carter roughly did her hair as I finished getting ready then we made our way to the office to meet the agent who was in charge of the land we want to buy.
   
    Adlai reads quietly in the corner as we take the meeting and by the end we were happily the new owners of an area 3 times the size of our territory now. It will take years to build it up and have it the way we want it but still it's very exciting.

    I wore a baby blue sweetheart neckline corset that nipped in my waist and finished with a full baby blue skirt that fell to the ground. My boobs were set perfectly plump on my chest showing just enough cleavage and no more. I curled my hair and pulled half of it up into a messy updo with a silver glitter head peace and all my Lycan jewellery. I wore baby blue converse on my feet and a smile on my face.
   
    I spent the time curling Adlais hair and pulled half of it up and around her crown. People probably thought it unusual that we would already love her but honestly if anyone handed me any child I would like to think I'd behave in the same way.
   
    Kids should be cherished and loved No Matter where they come from, who they come from and why they were born in the first place.
   
    Adlai was special in that way, she could have chosen other people from her rogue camp to raise her, she could have chosen my parents but instead she chose us and I felt so honoured to be the person she choose to have as parents.
   
    I help her with her little blue dress. It had the same corset like design but hers came up in a v around her neck and it fell down her arms in light sleeves. The skirt was the same as mine and she wore the same blue shoes. Her dress looked like mine but it was more child appropriate.
   
    "Oh my girls you look absolutely perfect"
   
    Mum tells us, she wore a very similar dress to mine but hers had sleeves and the skirt was not as full, it also had a slit down the side of it.
   
    "Will there be a lot of people there?"
   
    Adlai asks me nervously. I open my arms to her and she climbs onto my knee.
   
    "Yes, why are you nervous?"
   
    She nods her head
   
    "Last time there was a lot of
    People my mum and dad died. I don't want you or daddy to die"
   
    My heart constricts in my chest as I pull her tight to my body. She was so delicate yet determined, small yet strong and incredibly intelligent for a 6 year old. Her speech was impeccable, she could read a novel in just a few hours and her interest in all things business would honestly make you believe she was biologically Carter's daughter.
   
    "Would it help if I tell you we can't die?"
   
    She frowns looking up at me
   
    "How?"
   
    Her little face looked so confused
   
    "Because I already died, then I came back to life and my purpose is to live with Carter for
    Forever and love you and any other kids like you"
   
    She gets up, crossing her arms over her chest as She looks at me
   
    "So what are you?"
   
    "I'm Lycan, hellhound, primordial and a little werewolf too"
   
    She studies me with her eyebrow in the air
   
    "So you really can't die?"
   
    "Nope"
   
    I answer, popping the 'p'. She watches me for a moment, gagging my reaction to see if I'm telling the truth. Then her face splits into a grin and she comes back to my arms and hugs me.
   
    "Good"
   
    A knock come to the door, mum answers it
   
    "Are you all ready to go?"
   
    Daniel asks
   
    "Yes we are ready to go"
   
    I tell him, smiling as I stand up and take Adlai's hand. She grins up at me. We leave the room and head to the kitchen where dads are waiting for us
   
    "Oh you all look so good"
   
    Dads grin at us, they kiss each of our cheeks as Daniel, Rob and mum leave first. Then dad lifts Adlai and they both take my arm and we leave next. The place was crowded but not overcrowded.
   
    Carter insisted that it would be a closed event after the trouble we had at our wedding. He wouldn't take that chance again so only the pack and family were welcome with a few unmated wolves from their pack. The place was locked down and nobody that wasn't invited would gain entry.
   
    We walk to the training field where the pack was gathered, a stage was erected at the end where Carter was standing with mum, Daniel, Rob and Henry the elder of our pack. Carter's wolves patrolled the area around us, extra guards had the place locked down. Carter had went above and beyond to make the place safe.
   
    We walked up the aisle, ghost walks at our feet in protective mode.
   
    Carter grins at me when he sees us coming. He wore navy dress trousers, a white shirt rolled up to his elbows with baby blue braces and a matching bow tie. He takes my hand as I reach the steps and he helps me up onto the stage. Henry steps forward as Carter leans down and gives me a gentle kiss.
   
    "You look amazing"
   
    He whispers
   
    "You don't look so bad yourself"
   
    I reply grinning at him, Carter pulls me to his side as dads set Adlai on her feet and she comes to my side holding my hand. Henry clears his throat and taps the mic
   
    "We are gathered here today to hand the reins of our beloved pack over to our little Luna Carly and Carter. We have watched these 2 grow, laugh, cry and quite frankly terrify but also amaze over the years and I'm honoured to be the one to stand here and be a part of this moment. Alpha, would you like to name the man who will take over for you and lead this pack into a fresher future?"
   
    Dad steps forward grinning, tears in his eyes as he clears his throat
   
    "My son whom I'm so proud of, Carter Mcgregor"
   
    Henry grins at him then looks to mum
   
    "And Luna, will you name the woman who will take over for you?"
   
    "My daughter, whom I'm so proud of. Mrs Carly Mcgregor"
   
    He hands dad a knife, he slices his palms then mums and hands the knife to Carter. He does the same for us.
   
    "Carter and Carly do you promise to take this pack and make it your own, follow our laws and do everything in your power to keep our people safe"
   
    "I do"
    "I do"
   
    "Do you promise to be loyal to us and our kind, to continue making this place a safe space for us to grow and learn"
   
    "I do"
    "I do"
   
    "Do you swear to continue the good work of your parents"
   
    "I do"
    "I do"
   
    "Join hands"
   
    The four of us join hands and I gasp as the pack link is passed onto us. My eyes water as each link is connected with my soul, each one becoming a part of me and Carter.
   
    "Congratulations to our new Luna and alpha, you may kneel"
   
    Everyone including our parents kneel but as Adlai tries to kneel both me and Carter grab her hand and keep her standing. I hear the gasps ring out throughout the pack but I didn't care if they didn't approve. Adlai was our daughter and she would not kneel to us, they would kneel to her. She smiles up at us and my heart swells. She was a little doll and I was so proud to be her mummy.
