~Jasper pov~
After unlocking her door, Maeve stumbled into her house. Slowly following her lead, I watched her turn the light on and drop her stuff on the counter before dropping to the floor to take off her shoes, or at least attempting to.
Taking a moment to look around her place, I noticed how cozy it was. Her couch was filled with throw pillows and crocheted blankets, and the coffee table was stacked with books. However, the kitchen looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a couple of days.
Looking back at Maeve, who was still struggling with her shoes, I said, "Up," trying to be helpful. With that, she managed to get up. "Do you need help?". "mhm" she mumbles looking at me. walking towards her i place my hands on her hip picking her up and placing her on the counter.
bending down i undo her her shoes and return to my height. maeve's already looking at me, her cheeks are tinted pink. we stare at each other for a bit before her mouth erupts into a big smile. "jasper" she whispers.
"yes mae" i look at her, a small smirk etched on my face fully prepared about what she going to say or ask.
"can you give me a piggyback ride" she giggles.
"sure"i chuckle out turning around i let her hold onto my back. she snuggles her head on my shoulder and whispers out for me to go up-stairs. while walking up stairs i stop and look at the photos hanged on the wall.
"Is this you and your mum?" I asked as we ascended the stairs.
"Yeah, we went to the park," she mumble's into my ear, i continue up the stairs, at the top i stop "Where to?"i ask.
she points to the door covered in butterfly stickers. How cute.
Walking into her room, I help her onto her bed. "Are you all good to get ready for bed?" I ask, tilting my head to face hers.
"Mhm," she mumbles, nodding in agreement.
she get up grabbing some clothes and going into her bathroom. taking a seat on her bed i patiently waited for her to come out. i should probably go home but i want to make sure she gets into bed okay and she doesn't slip or hit her head.
Scrolling on my phone for a bit, Maeve finally returns. She walks over to me. "I didn't realize how late it is. I'm sorry," she mumbles out. She's about to say something else, but she stops herself and adds, "You can stay the night. I don't want you driving this late."
"Oh, no, it's fine, Mae," I mutter out, looking up at her. Her face is lost in deep thought.
"Here, you stay in this bed. I'll go sleep in my mother's room. I mean, it's not like she's using it," she chuckles before walking out of her room.
"okay" i say.
"good night jasper, make yourself comfortable"
"good night mae"

~~~~maeve's pov~~~~~~~~~~
waking up with a raging headache. i groan when the blind let a ray of sun beam right at my eyes. rolling over so i'm on my stomach. i push my head into the pillow. lifting my head i scrunch my eyebrows when i notice i'm in my mothers bed.
Giving myself a moment, I remember last night. Getting up, I grab my phone, and after a quick shower, I come out and take a pair of her slacks, button-up, and sweater. Then I sit on the bed and start doing my hair, pulling one of my knees up to my chest. I grab my phone and start scrolling. It's about an hour before lunchtime. Maybe Jasper is awake; he seems like a morning person.
