I wake up with my head pounding, the remnants of last night's drinks making everything feel like it's spinning. Groaning, I sit up and decide that water is the only thing I need right now. but that's became impossible when I realised there was pair of arms arounds my waist. turning my head I see jasper.
"jasp, wake up"I call out quietly, I see his face frown a tad before he went back to sleep, I grab the spare pillow next to me and whack him in the face, now this caused him to wake up. "really" he mutters out in shocked.
"your own fault, now why are you in my bed"
"I don't remember" he responds
"well, I want to get out of my bed so......please"I reply, looking downs at his hands that are still around my waist. "fine".
we both get up, oddly both not caring we just woke up hugging.
Dragging myself to the kitchen, I'm greeted by an unusual sight. Scott is up, making breakfast, singing some upbeat tune with a big smile on his face. It's almost offensive how cheerful he is. Meanwhile, Jasper goes and sits at the table, looking like he's deeply regretting every life choice that led to being friends with Scott.
"Morning, sunshine!" Scott chirps when he notices me, flipping a pancake with unnecessary enthusiasm.
I grab a glass and head to the sink, filling it with cold water. "Morning," I mumble, my voice rough.
Jasper lifts his head slightly, giving me a look that says he's in as much pain as I am. "You look how I feel," he mutters, rubbing his temples.
"Yeah," I reply, sitting down next to Jasper. The exhaustion in his eyes mirrors my own, and I feel a pang of guilt for everything I unloaded on him last night. Leaning in closer, I whisper, "I'm sorry for dumping my problems on you last night."
Jasper lifts his head slightly, his eyes meeting mine. For a moment, there's silence, broken only by Scott's cheerful singing in the background. Then Jasper sighs, shaking his head. "Don't worry about it," he mutters, "you're always allowed to talk to me" he gives me a reassuring smile.
I take a sip of the water, the cold liquid doing little to dull the headache pounding in my skull. Jasper's words offer some comfort, though. His voice is quiet but sincere, and his eyes soften as he gives me a small, reassuring smile.
"Thanks," I mumble, the weight of my worries still heavy but a bit more bearable. "I know I can get... intense." Jasper chuckles softly, still rubbing his temples. "Join the club," he replies.
Scott's humming gets louder, and I glance over to see him grinning at us like he's in the best mood of his life. "You two look like you need these more than I do." He slides a plate of pancakes in front of us.
"Thanks, man," Jasper mutters, his tone deadpan but grateful. He nudges my shoulder gently. "Eat up. Might help with the headache... or at least give you something to absorb the alcohol still in your system."
I nod, grabbing a fork and poking at the pancakes. They actually smell pretty good, and as I take a bite, I realize they taste even better. Scott might be annoyingly cheerful, but he knows how to make a damn good breakfast.
"So," Scott pipes up, leaning against the counter with a mischievous grin, "any plans for a repeat performance of last night's drama?"
"God, no," I groan, and Jasper just shakes his head, clearly sharing my sentiment.
As I take another bite of my pancake, I hear the unmistakable sound of two sets of footsteps padding down the hallway, accompanied by a soft, playful giggle. It's Lucy, no doubt—she's always the happiest in the mornings, especially on weekends.
