Dream a Little Dream of Ed (Part 2)

[Back in the bedroom, Kylie and Nat are still asleep and Edna and Katie are coming back from changing.]

Kylie and Nat: (make soft sleeping sounds)

Edna: Aw. [chuckles] You sleepy?

Katie: (yawns and nods)

[Edna tries to turn the light off again.]

Katie: No! No, Edna. I'm scared. I don't wanna have a bad dream!

Edna: I understand. Katie, relax. Oh, breathe deep. [inhales deeply]

Katie: Okay, okay. [inhales]

Edna: You okay?

Katie: I'm okay. No, I'm scared.

Edna: Oh, I understand. Ooh, hey Katie, think good thoughts.

Katie: Good thoughts?

Edna: Mm-hmm, good thoughts.

Katie: Kylie! Kylie is a good thought.

Edna: Yes.

Katie: You and Nat, you both are good thoughts.

Edna: Uh-huh.

Katie: Fairies, fairies are good thought. I like fairies.

Edna: [giggles] Fairies are a good thought.

Katie: Kylie good, Nat good, Edna good, fairies good. Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies. Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies.

Edna: Okay, sleep.

Katie: Got it, I'll sleep.

[Edna gives Katie a kiss, turns the light off for the last time and heads to her bed.]

Edna: Night-night.

Katie: Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies. Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies...

[Katie drifts off to sleep again. In her dream, she returns to the purple forest.]

Dream Katie: Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies. Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies! I'm in the dream. Those trees are scary... Wait! Good thoughts. Good thoughts. Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies. Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies!

[The buzzing is heard in the distance]

Dream Katie: Breathe deep. [inhales] Good thoughts. Kylie, Nat, Edna, fairies. It-it's the buzzing again! Who's buzzing!? I'm scared, I'm scared!

[Playful music plays as a little star falls from the sky and lands in Katie's hands.]

Dream Katie: Huh? A star? Ooh, maybe I can make a wish. I'll do it!

[Katie closes her eyes making her wish, the star starts lighting up and sparkling and after a cut, brings light to the dream world. It becomes a happy fairyland scene, with tall blades of grass and giant flowers.]

Dream Katie: Oh, nice.

(It's revealed that Dream Katie is the size of a bug now with the light now shining, she hears the buzzing again and while she doesn't scream she goes to hide in the flower house. The buzzing stops and we hear walking sounds, someone peeks in the flower house and Katie turns around to see, it's revealed that the buzzing noises came from The Bugaloos! Katie is surprised and happy to see the characters she saw on TV in her dream)

The Bugaloos: (giggle) Hello Katie!

Dream Katie: (shyly) Hi. (She smiles as she walks out of the flower house)

Harmony: Sorry 'bout the buzzing earlier Mate!

Dream Katie: It's okay. I'm so happy to see you, right here with me!

Joy: Oh, you're just the most adorable little human we've met!

Courage: How's about you play a song with us?

The Bugaloos: (talk over each other agreeing Katie should play with them)

Dream Katie: Me? Play? In your band?

I.Q: Yes, we've heard through the ol' grapevine you love to sing, dance and perform.

Dream Katie: (giggles getting the grapevine joke) I do. Okay, I'll do it!

Dream Katie and The Bugaloos: (run to a stage, The Bugaloos go to their respective instruments and Katie finds a heart shaped guitar for her to play)

Courage: (taps his drumsticks together before the song) 5, 6, 7, 8!

Dream Katie and The Bugaloos: (sing For A Friend):

Dream Katie: [giggles after their song] That was great. Everything is beautiful. This ain't scary. My dream is beautiful!

Dream Katie and The Bugaloos: [fly off together with them holding Katie]

[The scene switches to the morning. Katie is in her sleeping bag, still dreaming.]

Katie: (She giggles in her sleep, but wakes up) Oh! Good dream! I gotta tell Edna.

[In Edna's parents store "The Twilight Zone", Kylie, Nat and Edna are chatting with each other.]

Katie: Yeah dream! Yeah dream! Yeah dream! Yeah dream!

Edna: Was it a bad dream?

Katie: Mm-mm, good dream, good dream. The flowers and the grass were pretty, and music was beautiful, and Bugaloos! I met them and played with them!

Edna: Oh, so cute.

Katie: I loved that dream.

Edna: I'm glad.

Katie: Thanks for helping me, Edna. Thank you! [kisses her]

Edna: Oh, Katie. (She smiles)

Kylie: Katie, what'd you do with The Bugaloos?

Katie: We played a song, I played guitar! [starts air guitaring and dancing]

Kylie and Nat: [Join Katie and dance with her]

Edna: [Also dances with the three]

Katie: You all dance good! Ooh, ooh, Edna. I'm hungry.
