The Ed Who Could Fly (Part 1)

[The episode opens up Katie watching TV, she is watching "Dastardly and Muttley in their flying machines."]

Katie: [Is seen holding Ramona and eating sweets as she watches the show]

[We cut to the TV playing the show, as Dastardly and Muttley try to catch the pigeon with their flying machines with silly hijinks playing out, Katie laughs as both Dastardly and Muttley fail to catch the pigeon.]

Katie: (does a Dastardly impression) Ye-ouch! Muttley do something! (She chugs down some juice from her sippy cup to wash down the sweets)

[The show ends on the TV]

Katie: (normal voice) Awww man, It's over. (Sighs happily, looks at Ramona to talk to her) Oh Ramona, wouldn't it be nice to fly?

(Ramona stays silent as she's a plush cat)

Katie: Yeah, but I wouldn't wanna fly to catch pigeons like Dick Dastardy and Muttley, I'd fly with the pigeons and stop the two from trying to catch them! I mean the two are very silly villains but when even a man and his dog mess with animals, you're messing with the wrong girl.

(Katie then see white pigeons flying outside, she runs to her window with Ramona still in her arm to see them)

Katie: Ah, you beautiful pigeons! Your command of the sky is unmatched. Floating just out of the reach of my arms, but near enough that I can see your untamed beauty.

[a pigeon flies down to see Katie outside from her window. Music begins to play as a Katie starts to dance and she clears her throat]

Katie: ♪If only I could join you there in the air. Floating free without a care. I wish I could fly. And see things with a different eye.♪ [Katie imagines herself flying through the sky] ♪I would fly so very high and touch the sky.♪ [she flies through a cloud] ♪And never have to ask why it is that I can't fly--♪ [the blue sky backdrop turns back into The Websters' living room, and Katie falls to the ground, she gets up] Wait a minute, I'm forgetting the words of Grandma Webster. [a thought cloud appears above Katie's head Kylie and Katie's Grandma is inside of it]

Grandma Webster: If we were meant to fly, we'd have propellers on our heads or jet engines on our backs

[The thought cloud disappears]

Katie: [snaps] I'm gonna follow her advice, by gum. I'll invent a flying machine!

(We cut to the three boy Eds in Double D's bedroom, Ed and Eddy are sitting on Double D's bed while Double D is looking at stuff through a microscope)

Eddy: (Bored out of his mind) I'm soooo bored!

Ed: I'm Ed.

Double D: Awww do you not like the works of science, Eddy? (He opens one of his desk drawers and Katie pops out of it)

Katie: Hi guys!

Double D: (gets startled)

Ed and Eddy: (notice Katie popped out of the drawer)

Double D: Katie, don't scare me like that!

Katie: Oh sorry Double D, I just wanted to ask if you boys wanted to see me fly.

Eddy: Wait, fly? What do you mean by that?

Double D: Um yes Katie.

Ed: Do tell!

Katie: Well I'm building a flying machine to fly with the pigeons!

Eddy: Wait you're building that?!

Katie: Yep!
