"It is true that those we meet can change us, sometimes so profoundly that we are not the same afterwards, even unto our names."
- Life of pi
THIRD PERSON POV
Harry stayed in the common room for the whole day. The night's events were.... eventful. Now that he really thought about it, he was being such a fool, Adalyn was... one of his best friend. He enjoyed his time with her, enjoyed talking to her, teasing each other, and everything. His bond with Adalyn was different than anyone else, and he forgot all of it just because she was the daughter of someone. Even if that someone was the killer of his parents, it wasn't her fault. She didn't do it, in fact she didn't even knew he was her father.
"Well nice of you to finally know I guess" Marlene muttered rolling her eyes.
"Why am I such an idiot" He grumbled shaking his head while staring out of the window. What would happen if his friends stop trusting him for something he didn't do? What if he had to isolate himself just because one of his friend is angry at him? Well, that sounds horrible even in his imagination.
Suddenly he got up from the couch and rushed to his dorm. He opened his truck and took out the old piece of parchment carefully.
"I solemnly swear I am up to no good," He said muttering the sentence and tapping the parchment with his wand.
"This time even I doubt if you are or not" Remus said with raised brows.
He racked his eyes everywhere and spotted the name he was finding. "Ahh ohk" He said before folding and keeping the parchment carefully in his trunk.
"Why in the name of Godric are there so many stairs here" Harry huffed climbing the stairs. After finally reaching the top of the tower he saw the stillhouse of a person. He went and slowly sat near the person.
"I had a feeling you would come here" The person said turning to face Harry who raised his brows. "Taking extra lessons from professor Trelawney?" He asked facing the the sky in above him.
"I don't have any lessons with her, Divination starts from Third year" Regan said leaning against the side wall.
"Oh it's Regan" James whispered leaning back against the sofa.
"Then how were you expecting me?" Harry asked him. "In the morning today, when I came to meet Adalyn, I heard your conversation, you both were yelling so it was obvious for anyone to hear it. Well, I kind of expected you to mend things properly between you both" Regan said turning towards him.
"I was wrong I know-"
"Not completely" Regan said cutting him off, "You weren't completely wrong, you gave a natural reaction to the situation which Adalyn also understands, but what you did wrong was constantly nagging about it to her, anything happens and you all were behind her neck. How could a thirteen year old enter in azkaban and help a prisoner break out?" Regan asked to which Harry stayed quite.
"Someone talking with brains" Rabastan muttered nodding his head.
"If I would have got to know someone was the reason behind my parents murder and their child was my friend, even I would have lost my mind for a minute, but thinking logically here, Adalyn isn't at fault" Regan said to which Harry sighed.
