"there is nothing wrong with enjoying life's pleasures as long as they do not take control of your life as you enjoy them"
-Ikigai

THIRD PERSON POV

Harry sat in the great hall with Arilene eating his breakfast in silence. Arilene kept glancing at him in between while eating her own food.

"What?" Harry asked turning his head towards her. "What?" She asked in return causing the boy to groan.

"Why are you staring at me?" He sighed tilting his head. "What happened?" Arilene asked dropping her spoon in her porridge and linking both her hands together on the table.

"What's supposed to happen?" He asked glancing down at his bowl of cereals. "First you and ron, and now you and Adalyn too, seriously? How many people are you thinking to cut off this year?" Arilene asked furrowing her brows.

"Give him cho, he doesn't want anyone else" Marlene snickered rolling her eyes.

"It's not my fault in any of the case, Ron's being a prick and Adalyn, I don't know, I don't care" He said finishing his cereals and getting up from the table.

"Where are you-" Arilene said but was cut off by him

"Black lake with Hermione, gotta practice some spells" His voice faded as he exited the great hall. Arilene sighed shaking her head. "God, why am I stuck between these immature kids"

Harry barely slept that night. When he awoke on Monday morning, he seriously considered for the first time ever just running away from Hogwarts. But as he looked around the Great Hall at breakfast time, and thought about what leaving the castle would mean, he knew he couldn't do it.

He finished his bacon with difficulty (his throat wasn't working too well), and as he and Hermione got up, he saw Cedric Diggory leaving the Hufflepuff table.

Cedric still didn't know about the dragons, the only champion who didn't, if Harry was right in thinking that Maxime and Karkaroff would have told Fleur and Krum. . . .

"Hermione, Arilene, I'll see you in the greenhouses," Harry said, coming to his decision as he watched Cedric leaving the Hall. "Go on, I'll catch you up."

"He's good to everyone, considerate about everyone's feelings but not Adalyn's, god give him a brain" James muttered rolling his eyes.

"Harry, you'll be late, the bell's about to ring —"

"I'll catch you up, okay?"

By the time Harry reached the bottom of the marble staircase,Cedric was at the top. He was with a load of sixth-year friends.

He followed Cedric at a distance and saw that he was heading toward the Charms corridor. This gave Harry an idea. Pausing at a distance from them, he pulled out his wand, and took careful aim."Diffindo!"Cedric's bag split.

"Well, that's certainly a way to force someone to talk to you" Frank said as the others around him snorted.

Parchment, quills, and books spilled out of it onto the floor. Several bottles of ink smashed. "Don't bother," said Cedric in an exasperated voice as his friends bent down to help him. "Tell Flitwick I'm coming, go on. . . ."
