"It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
― William Blake

THIRD PERSON POV

"WE WON! WE WON! WE WON" Arilene shouted jumping up and down with Adalyn who was laughing at her. "We did, now come on relax potter" Adalyn joked causing everyone to look at her weirdly. "Harry is there Adalyn," Hermione said pointing towards the boy who stood with a grin on his face, that clearly told "Come on now explain it to everyone"

James grinned at Sirius who grinned back at him too.

"Oh she's a potter too," Adalyn said pointing at Arilene who face palmed herself. "When in the godrick's name did you two get married?" Shira asked causing the siblings to roll their eyes, "We're twins" They said simultaneously then snickered looking at each other.

"Blimey they are doing it like Fred and George" Ron stared at them with wide eyes. "Anything else that's being kept from us? Adalyn you got married?" Shira asked to which Adalyn smacked her head. "Why would I get married now you dumb sh*t" She said.

"But can you all believe we won?" Arilene grinned, "You both were awesome on the field" The red haired said bringing the two players in a quick hug causing Adalyn to scowl mentally.

"I know right, applauds to them" James clapped loudly joined by many students.

Harry's euphoria at finally winning the Quidditch Cup lasted at least a week. Even the weather seemed to be celebrating; as June approached, the days became cloudless and sultry, and all anybody felt like doing was strolling onto the grounds and flopping down on the grass with several pints of iced pumpkin juice or watching the giant squid propel itself dreamily across the surface of the lake.

But they couldn't. Exams were nearly upon them, and instead of lazing around outside, the students were forced to remain inside the castle, trying to bully their brains into concentrating while enticing wafts of summer air drifted in through the windows.

Even Fred and George Weasley had been spotted working; they were about to take their O.W.L.s

"Ooh we gave it last to last year, it went well" James said nodding, getting an O in potions, transfiguration and defence against dark arts, and E's and A's in others.

They had Potions that afternoon, which was an unqualified disaster. Try as Harry might, he couldn't get his Confusing Concoction to thicken, and Snape, standing watch with an air of vindictive pleasure, scribbled something that looked suspiciously like a zero onto his notes before moving away.

Then came Astronomy at midnight, up on the tallest tower; History of Magic on Wednesday morning, in which Harry scribbled everything Florean Fortescue had ever told him about medieval witch-hunts, while wishing he could have had one of Fortescue's choco-nut sundaes with him in the stifling classroom.

Wednesday afternoon meant Herbology, in the greenhouses under a baking-hot sun; then back to the common room once more, with sunburnt necks, thinking longingly of this time next day, when it would all be over.

"That sounds so bad for real" Briony said.

Their second to last exam, on Thursday morning, was Defense Against the Dark Arts.
