chapter 10: Not a princess

The night sky had shining stars above and I could hear the music play in the background.

I was wearing a black dress and matching heels. I was stood on the balcony with Lye and Sadie next to me.

There was over 10000 people at the gala, so it was slightly overwhelming but with having Sadie and Lye by my side I knew I could handle it.

Fynn and Blade were wearing matching suits and dancing together. Summer was wearing a beautiful short pink dress, whilst Zara was wearing a long and elegant green one, and Creed was wearing his suit. Fern was wearing a silver dress and Liver was wearing a black suit which I wondered how she even got him in one. And they were all standing together and talking and laughing. Liver being the idiot like always.

"Shall we join them?" Lye asked me and Sadie as he held out his hands for the both of us to take and we both took them, walking with him over to our loving friends that had made our lives so much better.

I felt so grateful to have such people in my life and smiled at how we had come so far.

I had always dreamt of a day like this. As a kid it was my plan to a life of luxury, then it continued being my plan throughout the rest of my life. Tonight would be the start of it.

I smiled as I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing a long black sparkly dress, the ends of it being a dark red and there being a slit down the side. My hair was done up with a dark purple bow, I had dark red lipstick, glitter eyeshadow and winged eyeliner. My heels were the same colour as my dress and almost all of my jewellery was silver, apart from one of my bracelets which was the same shade of purple as my bow, and my obsidian pendant that I had for protection. 

Tonight I was gonna truly become a member of the organisation, according to Lye they held two important galas a year. The first was to introduce any new members and the second was for each member to get a blessing from the boss of the organisation. This way the new members could show off their skills in time for the boss to know what their role would be and for everyone else to know how they were like as a person. The current boss was Lye's mother, known as the godmother, and when she decides to retire the title will be passed down to Lye seeing as by tradition the eldest or only birth child was supposed to take the title.

"Ready beautiful?" I felt a pair of hands touch my waist and a soft kiss on my neck, hearing Lye's voice.

I smiled and nodded softly, turning around and kissing him. "Gorgeous" He whispered under his breath as he took in my every feature. Only now did I manage to take in what he was wearing; a black suit, purple tie and silver watch, with his matching pendant to mine and his sleeves being rolled up. "My lady" he chuckled as he held out his hand for me, of course having me take it and walk along side him. 

Downstairs were Sadie and the others, all of them wearing the most perfect outfits bringing out their features in the best way. The girls were wearing the prettiest gowns and the others were wearing suits, even Liver which was surprising, but Sadie was the only person who really grabbed my attention. She was wearing a dark purple dress, black heels, silver jewellery and a black butterfly clip in her hair. She looked like the angel of death, coming to steal my heart and soul away. 

If I could I would stay in this moment forever, simply staring at her beauty and having all thoughts possible run through my head. Although the moment couldn't stay forever, the thoughts sure did linger in my mind. The first being how fucking stunning she was, and the second having my imagination wonder to how much she would look even more gorgeous if her dress was laying on the floor instead. Revealing the temple I wanted to worship at forever. Sadly of course there was only one of those thoughts I could say in front of the others.
