As Buck and Maddie got settled into their apartment in LA they also got settled into their new jobs. Buck was loving the firehouse and he managed to get along with the rest of the team, he felt like he actually belonged there. "How's your sister like being a dispatcher?" Chimney asks, his real name was Howard but Buck didn't know why he went by chimney.

Buck finishes off his beer and leans back against the booth. He, chimney and Hen were having a few drinks at the bar after a particularly long day at the station. "She loves it actually. I think she likes it more than working at a hospital." He says to his friends.

"That's good. But I don't think chimneys really interested in whether she likes her job or not. I think he's got a crush." Hen cackles and chimney gives her a look, shoving her shoulder.

Buck rolls his eyes. "Honestly, she's asked about you a few times, I think she has a crush too." He admits and laughs as chimneys cheeks flush.

"Oooh Buck, maybe we can set them up!" Hen says excitedly, Buck nodding his head in agreement. He'd only known the other man for a short while but he'd honestly be okay with the man dating his sister.

"Let's do it." Buck tells hen with a grin and smirks over at chimney who's cheeks were still red.

The three bantered a bit before Chim changed the subject. "So Buck, why don't you go by Evan?" He asks and all the blood drains from Buck's face causing Hen to slap Chimneys shoulder. "What? He's asked me why I go by Chimney, I can't ask why he goes by Buck?" He asks a confused expression on his face until he sees Buck's pale one.

"Chim." Hen hisses and shakes her head. "I'm sorry Buck, you don't have to answer." She says, a soft look on her face. And if Buck hadn't had three beers and a shot of whiskey in his system, he wouldn't have, but he lets it all out.

"I was kidnapped when I was eighteen. Held captive in a basement for four years." He says and looks down at the table, his hands fiddling with the beer bottle in front of him. "And I'm sure you can figure out the rest by yourself." He said, not wanting to hash out the abuse that he had gone through.

Hen and Chimneys eyes widen and the woman instantly puts her hand on Bucks shoulder, squeezing it gently. "God Buck, that sounds horrible. Did someone find you? Or did you escape?"

"They must have been done with me because one day they just let me go. They dropped me off in the middle of nowhere. I contacted Maddie and she and my best friend drove to get me." Buck shrugs his shoulders. "But they used to call me Evan. That's why I go by Buck."

The two nod in understanding. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." Chimney says, regretful.

"No man, it's okay. It's easier to talk about now." Buck gives a soft smile. He wasn't lying though, he had unpacked a lot of it with his therapist and it wasn't as hard to talk about anymore, though the nightmares still happened frequently.

Buck was grateful though when the three were interrupted by another man. "Chimney, Hen?" The man asks and Buck looks up to see a somewhat older man (maybe ten years older than Buck)  standing there with a beer in his hand, smiling at his friends.

"Tommy!" Chimney smiles widely. "Long time no see." He says and scoots over, patting the empty space for him to sit and the man, Tommy obliged.

"Nice to see you Tommy." Hen smiles and looks over at Buck who was trying his hardest not to stare at the man. "This is Buck, the new recruit." She says, introducing the younger man. "And Buck this is Tommy, he used to work at the 118."

"You must be my replacement." The man teases and stretches his hand towards Buck. Buck takes it and shakes his hand. "Nice to meet you." He smiles and god Buck liked that smile.

"Nice to meet you too." Buck says and pulls his hand back from Tommy's.

The four of them talked for a few hours before Hen and chimney got up from the table, stating they had to go home, they had a shift in the morning. Buck didn't though, he and Maddie unfortunately had their parents coming to visit tomorrow so he decided to stay out a bit longer, Tommy staying with him and promising the two others he'd keep an eye on the younger man.

By now, Buck was way more than tipsy, he was drunk and when he was drunk he had no filter. "You Tommy, are a very handsome man." Buck laughs to himself and goes to take a drink from his beer, frowning when he realizes it was empty.

Laughing softly, Tommy takes the empty bottle from Buck and slides a glass of water in front of him. Buck reluctantly grabbed it and took a drink, he was so thirsty. "But thank you. Don't think I didn't notice you staring." He points out and Buck blushes furiously.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't help it." He mumbles, trying to look anywhere but at the older man. He felt like he had done something wrong. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable, that wasn't my intention."

"No Buck, you're fine. I thought it was cute." Tommy shrugs his shoulders, his eyes on Buck. "I think you're adorable."

Bucks eyes widened because of what was happening. Did this very attractive man call him adorable or was he just hearing things? "Me? I don't think so. Maybe that guy over there across the room." Buck mumbles and points in the direction of a man who was clearly staring at Tommy.

"Eh, not my type." Tommy chuckles as he looks where Buck was pointing. "Anyways, I told Hen and Chimney I'd keep an eye on you. So how about you drink your water and we'll get you home."

Buck nodded silently, doing as he was told. Once his water was gone, the two left the bar and Tommy got them a cab. Once they were outside of Buck's apartment, Buck looked at the older man. "Thanks, for making sure I got home safe."

"Not a problem, Buck. But hey, the company was nice." He says and holds out his phone to Buck. "Type in your number and maybe we can hang out again." Tommy suggests and Buck takes the phone, giving Tommy his number. He gives the phone back and climbs out of the cab. "Goodnight Buck." Tommy said before the cab drove off.

Buck smiles to himself and walks inside the building, walking into the apartment he shared with his sister. "Have a good time?" Maddie asks from her spot on the couch, spooking Buck a bit. He didn't think she'd be awake.

"Yeah I did." He smiles and sits next to her. "I gave a hot guy my phone number." He tells her and Maddie looks at him, shocked. Buck wasn't really one to talk to his sister about things like that, and knowing he had feelings for Eddie, Maddie was a bit confused but she didn't voice it.

"Tell me about this hot guy then." She chuckles and listens as her brother describes the man to her.
