The wedding planning was going smoothly, the two men decided they wanted it to be a small gathering, and they didn't want to drag out the engagement, insisting that they could not wait to get married. They were already waiting long enough. Buck needed Maddie at his side, so he decided they could wait until after she had the baby.
Since neither set of parents were going to be attending the wedding, Maddie would be walking Buck down the aisle and Shannon agreed to walk Eddie down the aisle. Both women shedding a tear when they were asked. Chim would be standing with Eddie and Hen with Buck during the ceremony. Bobby even agreed to officiate the whole thing.
"I think mostly everything is covered. Bobby said he'd cook; we're just going to have a playlist of music playing through the speakers and Athena and Shannon have the decorating covered, which isn't going to be much since we're just getting married in Bobby and Athena's backyard." Buck lists off to Maddie who was sitting on the couch next to her brother.
Maddie rests a hand on her swollen belly and smiles at him. "I can't wait for the two of you to be married." She speaks. "I swear, the two of you were made for each other. I can't wait for Eddie to be my brother-in-law and for Chris to officially be my nephew." She spoke softly, eyes trailing over to Christopher who was drawing pictures at the coffee table.
"I just can't wait for him to be my husband." Buck smiles widely and then instantly frowns when Maddie takes in a sharp breath and closes her eyes. "Mads, are you okay?"
Nodding her head and taking in a deep breath Maddie looks at her brother and gives him a small smile. "I think my water just broke on your couch." And if it were anyone else, Buck probably would have had something to say. Instead, he just jumped up and scrambled to find his car keys and to get Christopher ready, he'd call Eddie or Shannon at the hospital. "Please call Chim, he'd be so mad if he missed the birth of our kid." Maddie says as she slowly stands from the couch with Buck's help.
"Is aunt Maddie going to be, okay?" Concerned lacing the young boy's voice as Maddie lets out a pained cry from a contraction.
"Yeah buddy, she's going to be just fine. She's just going to have a baby." Buck smiles as the three of them walk out to Buck's jeep. Buck helps Maddie in first and then helps Christopher in. Buck sets off towards the hospital, one hand holding Maddie's hand, the woman squeezing like her life had depended on it.

Eddie made his way into the hospital and to the labor and delivery floor to sit with Buck and Christopher, the little boy insisting that he wasn't going to leave until he could see the baby even though Buck had told him over and over again that it could be a while.
"Hey, how's she doing?" Eddie asks, walking over and leaning down, pressing a kiss to his fiancé's head and then picking up his son to hug him tightly.
"Chim came out and said she was doing great a bit ago. Said it shouldn't be too much longer. It's only been a couple of hours, but they say it's progressing really quick." Buck informs him and pats the seat next to him for the man to sit down.
Eddie sits next to his fiancé and lets Chris sit in his lap. "Sorry that Shannon couldn't come get him." He speaks. "I know she said she had a busy couple of days ahead of her."
Buck waves him off and laughs softly. "It's fine, Maddie didn't want me in the room anyways. Said I could come in after the baby was born. And Christopher has been really good. We'll just have to grab dinner on the way home."
The two men are deep in conversation when Chimney walks out to the waiting room, a huge grin on his face. "She's here." He says and Buck stands up so quickly he nearly falls on his ass. He rushes over to his sister's boyfriend and pulls him into a tight hug. "Come on Buck, let's go meet your niece." He says and then looks at Eddie and Christopher. "You too. Maddie demanded that you guys come and see her too."
