Shannon was just about 27 weeks along when Maddie, Hen and Athena decided to throw a baby shower. Athena offered up their backyard, Bobby grilled, Maddie and Hen were in charge of decorating and Athena, Karen and Buck were too busy fussing over Shannon who didn't seem to mind it too much. Eddie was sat, watching Christopher play with Denny and Harry, eyes occasionally drifting over to Buck who was practically buzzing with excitement like he always was since they found out Shannon was pregnant.

"Why are you over here by yourself?" Chimney asks as he walks over to Eddie, taking a seat next to him, Jee in his arms who automatically reached for her uncle.

Eddie grins and takes her into his arms, pressing a kiss to her head. "I'm just letting everyone do their own thing." He chuckles, shrugging his shoulders. "Besides, Buck seems to be enjoying getting to fuss over Shannon without her shooting daggers at him for once."

The other man laughs and nods his head. "Yeah, I know that feeling."

"Don't get me wrong, she does it to me sometimes too. But mostly Buck because well, it's his DNA that they had used." He says, glancing over at the group, catching Buck's eye and giving him a smile. They absolutely could not wait for their little girl to get here. Christopher seemed excited to be a big brother, but he was nervous that it would change when she got here. He didn't want the boy to think that they loved him any less.

Chim nods in understanding. "Buck looks really happy." He notes. "And you do too for the record."

"We are. We're married and we have Christopher, we're going to have a baby girl. We're over the moon." Eddie beams. "Speaking of, are you and Maddie ever going to tie the knot." He teases, using his free hand to poke his friend's arm.

Jee tried to wiggle free from Eddie's grasp, so the man set her down on the grass in front of him, her hands immediately pulling at the grass. "I think I'm going to ask her soon." Chim says in a whisper, hoping no one would hear.

"Have you talked to Buck about it yet?" Eddie asks. He thought his husband would have mentioned that to him, but maybe not. It wouldn't have been his secret to tell.

And of course, at that moment Buck made his way over to where his husband and Chimney sat. "Talk to me about what?" He raises an eyebrow as he sits down on the ground next to his niece and beams when she smiles up at him.

Chim almost panics, not knowing what to say but Eddie saves him. "He wants to know if we can watch Jee sometime in the next couple of weeks so he and Maddie can have a date night." The other man gives him a grateful look.

"Of course we'll watch Jee, we don't mind. Obviously, it just gives us practice." Buck chuckles.

When it's time to open presents, Buck and Eddie sit on either side of Shannon, wanting her involved in it as much as they were. They had already had a lot of the big stuff so most of what they got at the baby shower were clothes, a baby swing that Maddie said she swears by, Hen and Karen got them a car seat and stroller, Athena and Bobby had got them the crib as soon as they found out about the baby, but Bobby also offered to help build the furniture and Athena offered to help decorate the nursery.

At the end of the shower, Buck and Eddie pulled Shannon aside to give her the gift they had gotten for her. "What are you doing?" She asks.

"We have something for you." Buck grins as Eddie hands her an envelope first that contained a weekend getaway at a spa a few hours away.

"You guys didn't have to get me anything." She mutters and opens up the envelope then looks up at the two men who were watching her intently.

Buck just shrugs his shoulders. "We did though. You didn't have to do this for us but you've been such a trooper and we're just so grateful."

"Yeah, what he said." Eddie says, making the other two adults laugh. "But you can use the voucher at any time. We figured you could use it after the baby's born, go take a weekend to yourself to get pampered, or you could definitely use it beforehand." He explains.

Shannon's eyes fill with tears as she pulls both men in for a hug. "Thanks, you guys, you really didn't have to do this. I was just happy to help you out. I love you both."

"We love you too." They both say at the same time.

Buck then pulls something out of his pocket, a small baby hat with the name embroidered onto it, handing it to Shannon. "We wanted you to be the first one to know her name." He says as Shannon takes the hat and nearly sobs when she sees the name 'Adelaide Shannon Diaz'. Damn hormones.

"You're naming her after me?" She sniffles, wiping at her eyes. "That's the best thing you could have given me." She laughs wetly, hugging the men even tighter.

"Like we said, it's the least we could do." Eddie says softly, grinning when he feels Christopher crash into his legs, getting in on the group hug as well. Life couldn't be any better.

About a week after the baby shower Athena and Bobby were at the Diaz household, helping Buck and Eddie get the nursery set up. Christopher was with Shannon for the weekend, the woman insisting that she didn't need to stay at their house, that she didn't need Buck's constant hovering and Eddie didn't blame her. His husband could be smothering at some times, but it wasn't always a bad thing.

"So, are you boys going to tell us what her name is going to be?" Athena asks Buck as they take all of the new and used baby clothes that they were gifted, to the laundry room to be washed before going into dresser, that way they were ready when Adelaide was born.

Buck rolled his eyes and laughs softly, tossing a load into the washer and using the special baby detergent that they bought. "You're so impatient Athena. But since we told Shannon already, I'll tell her name." Buck says. "Adelaide Shannon Diaz."

Athena gasps and gives him a big smile as he starts the washer. "That's perfect." She says and Buck just nods in agreement as they make their way back to the nursery where their husbands were putting together the crib, both collectively cursing as they had to take a piece apart that they put together wrong.

"I don't remember it being this hard when I put Chris's crib together." Eddie mutters, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

"Yeah, me neither." Bobby laughs as he looks at the instructions again.

They eventually got the crib put together and put up against the wall. Eddie had painted the room a light gray color with a lavender accent wall per Buck's request as soon as they found out they were having a girl. They didn't really have a specific theme going for the nursery, but they were trying to stick with the gray and lavender color scheme that Buck seemed to love so much. Eddie thought it was perfect too.

After almost a whole day of getting the room together, the two men bid Bobby and Athena goodbye, thanking them and then closing the door behind them. "At least the nursery is finished." Buck says and locks the door.

"It was nice of them to come help put it all together." Eddie hums and wraps his arms around his husband. "I'm going to go take a shower." He says and kisses the top of Buck's head before letting him go, heading towards the bathroom, Buck immediately following him. "Ha, I knew that would get you." He chuckles.

"You could have just asked me to join sweetheart." Buck says as he starts the shower, stripping off his clothes and stepping into the tub, holding the shower curtain open for Eddie to step in beside him. "I'm always down to shower with you."

Eddie smiles and pulls him in close, crashing their lips together. Everything was perfect.
