"Good morning." I hear Pedri say as he opens his eyes.

"Good morning." I peck his lips. "What time are we picking him up again?"

"10:30." He says.

"Okay, let's get up then, it's 9:10." I say and he groans.

"No." He says as his hands on my waist prevent me from getting up.

"Pedri." I look back at him as he closes his eyes.

"Nope." He says as he pulls me back to him. "Five more minutes."

"Fine." I sigh as he kisses my shoulder and brings me closer to him.

We lay for a little longer and then actually get up, eating breakfast and then getting ready.

We're lowkey kind of matching—he's wearing a beige hoodie with dark grey jeans and I'm wearing a beige top with a dark grey skirt.

We leave his house and he drives us to the house of the goalie's trainers relative where we're getting Nilo from.

It's not too long of a drive and eventually we pull up the driveway and get out of car, going to ring the doorbell.

We hear cute little barking and I laugh as Pedri looks at me with such a look that I can't describe—he's so excited.

The door opens and a man appears, smiling. I thought he'd be older but he seems to be our age.

"Hi, Marc." Pedri says as they clap hands.

"Hey, how are you?" He asks.

"Good, you?" Pedri asks.

"Good too."

"This is Lara, my girlfriend." Pedri says and I smile at the man.

"Hey, nice to meet you, I'm Marc." He says.

"Nice to meet you too." I say.

"Come in." He says. We follow him into the house and then he opens the baby gate and takes us to his living room where a small black dog jumps around excitedly as he runs up to us.

"Oh my god." Pedri says, kneeling down to pet him as I do the same and the dog jumps around us both. "He's even cuter in real life."

"I would keep him it's just that I already have a dog and they don't get along at all, that's why I have the baby gate to make sure my dog doesn't get in here." Marc says.

We get everything sorted and then Pedri takes the stuff that Marc gave us — the current food he was feeding Nilo and some toys he got for him already — and we say our thanks and byes to Marc before leaving his house.

"Pedri, look at him, look at that little face." I say as I hold him in my arms. He's clearly scared as he keeps moving and then hiding his head in my arms.

"Stop, he's the cutest dog ever, oh my god." Pedri says as he quickly puts the things in the boot of his car and then opens the door for me as I thank him but not before he pets Nilo.

Pedri comes in but doesn't yet start the car as he puts the dog bed on my lap. Nilo climbs up my shirt and burries his head in my cleavage as me and Pedri both laugh.

"Clearly knows what's good." He says and I laugh as I put Nilo on the bed and he shifts around before lying down. "Already learning from his father."

"Oh my god." I laugh, shaking my head as I slightly push Pedri. "Start driving."

He grins as he starts the car and drives out of the driveway. As he drives, Nilo seems to get more scared so I start to play with him and he instantly seems to calm down. He's so tiny that he could literally fit in my hand, that's insane.

We reach Pedri's house and he takes the things from Marc along with the dog bed we bought for Nilo earlier this week and we go into his house as I carry Nilo who is too scared to walk by himself.

When we get inside, I kneel down and put Nilo down as he looks around. Pedri places the things in his living room and also kneels down next to me as we watch Nilo.

"He's scared." Pedri whispers.

"Yeah, naturally, it's something new." I whisper back as Nilo doesn't walk away from us. "If we start walking, he'll follow us."

He gets up and pulls me up after him. We walk to the kitchen and Nilo runs after us as we laugh. We take him all around the house as he won't go anywhere by himself so he just follows us and Pedri quite literally gives him a house tour as he explains what each room is and what to do in it which I find hilarious. Then we go to the garden and he immediately runs to the football that Pedri has lying on the grass and jumps on it.

"And taking from his father again, look at that." He laughs as he walks up to the ball and gently kicks it as Nilo frantically runs after it and jumps on it again.

I go up to the ball too and kick it gently back in the direction of Pedri as Nilo runs after it again. He plays a little with it and then Pedri kicks it to me again as Nilo happily runs after it, barking as we laugh.

"We should get him a Barcelona shirt with Nilo on the back." He laughs. "What's his birthday again? Oh right, the 24th and a 24 on the back then."

I laugh as Nilo runs again and he seems to feel less scared now. He finds another football and runs to it as well.

"How many footballs do you have?" I ask as Pedri laughs.

"Maybe five." He shrugs and I send him a look. "How many sketchbooks do you have?"

"Okay, fair enough." I say and he smirks.

We go back inside as Nilo follows us and sit on the sofa as he tries to jump on but is way too small so can't get on. We laugh as he tries but can't so Pedri takes him in his hands and lifts him to the sofa.

He walks around, walking literally over us and then jumps off the sofa as he walks over to his bowl and food. He drinks the water as we watch him from the sofa. Pedri puts his arm around me as he brings me closer to him and kisses the top of my head.

"I love you." He says and I smile at him.

"I love you too." I say and laugh when Nilo runs back to us and tries to jump on the sofa. This time, I pick him up and he starts licking my face and we both laugh.

"He likes you." Pedri says and then Nilo looks at him and climbs over me to get to him and also starts licking his face.

"And you too." I laugh.

We sit with Nilo before playing with him and then taking him out on a walk. He's a very lively dog especially now that he's a little more used to us and feels better around us. He won't stop running and jumping everywhere. He goes around to sniff everything on our walk and plays with the flowers that grow on a piece of grassland.

"I'm glad we adopted him, you know?" Pedri asks as one of his hands holds mine and the other holds Nilo's leash as we take turns.

"I'm glad too." I smile at him as he kisses me. "He's so cute."

"He's gonna grow so big." He says. "We'll feed him so he can protect us from everything."

"Inventive." I laugh as he grins at me.

Nilo runs up to again as he has something in him mouth. I kneel down and take it out of his mouth.

"You're not allowed to Nilo." I say. "Don't eat this kind of stuff."

"He's turning vegetarian." Pedri chuckles as I stand back up and laugh at his words.

We finish the walk in the warm sun and then go back to Pedri's house, playing with Nilo in the garden. He's one of the cutest dogs ever and also the sweetest.

And definitely liveliest.

Definitely will not be a dull moment with him. I can already tell, especially when he grows bigger.
