Jay pov
Me and hailey were putting the meats for dinner in the slow cooker and made a start on breakfast.
Hailey: anyone coming round today?
Jay: yeah erm at the moment it's just pops, Justin, Erin, will, Connor, and kelly and the kids
Hailey: okay
Jay: not everyone's gonna stay for dinner I don't think.
Hailey: no Gabby and shay?
Jay: I'm pretty sure Gabby is going to Antonio's and for shay I'm not sure.
Hailey: I'm surprised Kaylee isn't up yet. She loves Christmas. She's been celebrating since the beginning of November
Jay: yeah but she is a teenager after all
Hailey: you wrapped her presents didn't you?
Jay: yeah. I think we went a bit overboard this year.
Hailey: after what she's been through these last few months she deserves it
Jay: I know. I hope from now on things get better for her. She deserves it more than anyone.
Hailey: what time is everyone coming?
Jay: Will and kelly are coming at like 12 with Owen
Hailey: he not spending Christmas with Nat?
Jay: she's gonna pick him up after an hour or so
Hailey: you should try get her to stay. It will be good for Owen to spend Christmas with both parents
Jay: I'll try
Hailey: you think we should wake her up?
Jay: nah she hasn't really been sleeping so just let her lay in. She'll probably wake up soon.

Kaylee pov
I woke up and could smell food. I walked downstairs and dad and hailey were eating
Dad: morning peach
Kaylee: morning dad
Dad: you okay?
Kaylee: I'm really tired
Dad: after you've eaten and taken your meds you can go back up to bed okay
Kaylee: but what about my presents?
Dad: they'll still be there when your ready
Kaylee: what about everyone coming over?
Dad: they are still coming over. It's fine Kaylee I promise. I'd rather you sleep and feel better than feel terrible and have loads of seizures. You've been doing quite well seizure wise
Kaylee: okay
I sat at the table and dad passed me my plate and my meds
Kaylee: thank you
I took my meds and started eating my breakfast

Jay pov
She started eating her breakfast and I passed her some orange juice
Kaylee: thanks dad. So who's coming over
Dad: grandpa, Justin, Erin, will, Connor, kelly and the kids. Owen's coming as well but he's not staying cause Nats gonna pick him up.
Hailey: we're gonna try and get her to stay
Kaylee: that's not gonna work. She hates uncle will
Jay: she doesn't hate him
Kaylee: she does. If it wasn't for Owen then she would've cut off all contact from him.
Jay: she's just being dramatic
Kaylee: uncle Will cheated on her. She has every right to be pissed. Before you say 'they were taking a break', it was a test. She wanted to see if he still loved her and would wanna work things out and he failed it more than I failed my English assignment and that's saying something
I took that as my sign to shut up.
Kaylee: it will be nice to see Owen tho it's been a while.
She started talking to hailey when half way through the conversation she froze. I looked over at her and her eyebrow was lightly twitching. After a few seconds it stopped. This went off and on for like 10 minutes. She started speaking again.
Jay: peach I think you should go back to sleep. You're overtired
Kaylee: I'm not tired
Jay: what if I lay with you?
Kaylee: can we watch a movie?
Jay: sure. Doll if anyone arrives just let them in. Will's probably gonna come early cause he said Owen's doing his head in
Kaylee walked upstairs and I was talking to hailey
Hailey: you think she's gonna have a bad day today?
Jay: hopefully having a bit more sleep will prevent it happening. I hope not. I better go and try get her to fall asleep.

I went upstairs and Kaylee was watching a movie
Jay: what we watching?
Kaylee: 21 Jump Street
Jay: budge up then
I laid beside her and she put her head on my chest. I heard the door go and then voices
Kaylee: who's here?
Jay: probably will. You still feeling really tired?
Kaylee: yeah but I can't sleep
Jay: you got any more melatonin left?
Kaylee: no I ran out a couple weeks ago
Jay: you need to come and tell me peach so I could get you more. I'll go and get you one of mine.
I went to my room and got a melatonin for her. I gave it to her and laid back down.
Jay: these are a little stronger so they'll knock you out within like 10 minutes.
Kaylee: can you stay until I fall asleep?
Jay: of course I can peach
Within about 6 minutes I felt her breathing even out. I laid her on her pillow and turned her tv off before going back downstairs.
Owen: Uncle Jay!
He ran towards and gave me a hug and I picked him up
Jay: hey little man
Owen: I missed you
Jay: I missed you too
Owen: it Christmas
Jay: it is Christmas. Did daddy get you loads of presents?
Owen: mhm. I got loads of Lego. Kelly got me scooter. Where Kaywee?
Jay: she's not feeling too well so she's sleeping.
Owen: but it's Christmas
Jay: I know buddy she just needs a bit more sleep

A couple hours later everyone started arriving. Pops, Erin and Connor arrived. They bought some food into the kitchen and I went out to speak to Hank.
Jay: hey pops
Hank: hey kiddo. Where's trouble?
Jay: sleeping she's overtired and it was gonna turn into a bad day. She's already had a few absences
Hank: she not been sleeping?
Jay: not really. She'll get like 2-3 hours. Where's Justin?
Hank: Daisy had a massive meltdown so he's had to try and calm her down and he's bringing round the presents he'll be here soon
Justin walked in with a box full of presents and Daisy trailing behind him.
Justin: where shall I put them?
Jay: under the tree
He put the box down. Daisy was hiding behind him
Jay: does uncle JayJay not get a hello?
She shook her head
Jay: is it a no talking day today?
She nodded
Jay: why don't you go and find Owen?
She shook her head.
Justin: why don't you go find papa while i speak to uncle Jay?
She pulled on his jeans.
Justin: honey go see if papa will let you on his phone
She walked off
Justin: how's it going?
Jay: yeah good. How's things with you and Connor?
Justin: yeah it's alright. Daisy is being a nightmare tho. She's in a weird stage where she's more attached to me than Connor. If Connor makes her breakfast she'll have a massive meltdown and throw it at him. Her meltdowns are driving me mad. If she's late for bed, the whole place is getting turned upside down. Her food is touching on her plate she'll throw the plate. When she comes home from school it's like she just explodes
Jay: damn bro
Justin: Freddie's also staying with us because Corys gone AWOL again.
Jay: is he coming over?
Justin: yeah he's at Elizabeth's grave
The door bell rang again
Jay: pops can you grab the door?
The door opened and Kelly walked in with Jaxon
Kelly: hey. I left Kaylees present at home so I'll drop it round tomorrow
Jay: hi jax
Jaxon: hi uncle Jay
Jay: you got big bud
Jaxon: i 5 now
Jay: babe can you turn the heating on it's quite cold in here?
Hailey: yeah sure
