What happened?

A couple months later dad was taking more undercover operations. It was only a matter of time until something bad happened. I was at school having a session with my support teacher Thomas. He was helping me with my reading. We do this once a week and it actually helps. Principal Monroe walked in.
Principal Monroe: Kaylee can you come with me please?
Kaylee: No I haven't done anything wrong
Principal Monroe: you're not in trouble
Kaylee: then what's going on?
Principal Monroe: you're going home
Kaylee: am I suspended?
Principal Monroe: no it's nothing like that.
Kaylee: is it dad? Did something happen to him?
Principal Monroe: I don't have any details. Just someone here to collect you
Kaylee: who's here?
Principal monroe: Hank Voight
Kaylee: oh okay
I grabbed my stuff and followed her to the reception area where Hank was standing
Kaylee: what's going on?
Hank: let's just get in the car
We got to the car and I got in and he began the drive
Hank: jays been kidnapped
Kaylee: what?! How could you let someone take him? Why was he alone?!
Hank: he was undercover and the suspect figured out that Jay wasn't who he thought he was. He found the wire
Kaylee: where are we're going?
Hank: district
Kaylee: why can't I go home?
Hank: I know what would happen. You'll get mad or overwhelmed and lash out and it's not safe
I just sat there zoned out. we arrived at the district and I just went to the break room. I got out my phone and tried ringing dad but it went straight to voicemail. So I started recording messages.
Kaylee: dad it's Kaylee please tell me you're okay. Please be okay. I can't lose you. Dad please call me if you get this message. I need to know that you're alive.
I walked out of the break room and everyone was crowding around Antonio's desk. I could hear dad screaming. I peeked over and dad was hanging from his arms and someone was tasing him. They kept punching and tasing him. One of them wacked him round the head with a pole

Hank: Kaylee

I ran out and went to the firehouse. I went to Kelly's quarters and he was doing paperwork. I knocked on the door and he answered. He was just standing in front of me. I lunged towards him giving him a hug and just broke down crying
Kelly: what's going on trouble?
Kaylee: dad he erm he he got kidnapped and I saw a video and they were tasing him and punching him. They were really hurting him. He was screaming in pain.

Kelly PoV
I could see her getting worked up and it always ends the same way.
Kelly: okay let's calm down
Kaylee: what if they can't find him? What if they're too late or he's too hurt to be fixed? What if he dies? What if...
She started staring off into the distance and her hands were rubbing against her trousers and her face was lightly twitching. This lasted a few seconds before stopping then going into another. They were on and off for about 10 minutes which means she's gonna have a tonic clonic seizure soon. She came round
Kelly: let's go to mine and we'll have a movie night okay
Kaylee: mhm

We went to my car and I drove home. Kaylee sat on the couch.
Kelly: you want any lunch?
Kaylee: just a smoothie please
I made her a smoothie and passed it to her. Within a couple minutes she had drank the whole thing.

Kaylee: mhm you're the best at making smoothies. Dad always messes them up somehow
Kelly: what do you wanna watch?
Kaylee: insidious
Kelly: set it up
I sat beside her on the couch and she put a pillow on my lap and laid down. We began the film until Kaylee started asking questions

Kelly: what's up?
Kaylee: do you think dad's gonna be okay?
Kelly: I know everyone won't stop until they find him
Kaylee: have there been any updates?
Kelly: not yet kiddo
We carried on watching the film and I felt her breathing even out. My phone started ringing and it was will

Will: they have a lead on a location that they're gonna check out
Kelly: hopefully he's there
Will: how is Kaylee?
Kelly: not good. She got a little overwhelmed and she went into an absence. They were on and off for around 10 minutes.
Will: okay just keep an eye on her. If she gets worse bring her to med
Kelly: okay.
Will: I'll come after my shift
Kelly: alright. You want me to make her dinner?
Will: yeah
Kelly: you gonna...
All of a sudden Kaylee started seizing. I stood up and put the pillow under her head. I put my phone on speaker
Will: she seizing?
Kelly: yep
Will: okay I'm timing it. How's she doing?
Kelly: she's foaming at the mouth and her breathing sounds weird
Will: turn him onto her side. The foamy saliva should then just fall out
I did what will said and her breathing was getting easier. It was slowing down before stopping completely. After about 10 minutes she began to come around.
Kelly: hey you're okay. Everything's okay.
Kaylee: d-dad
Will: Kaylee it's uncle Will
Kaylee: w-where d-dad?
Will: you'll see him soon okay
Kaylee: tired
Will: I'll speak to you later
I put the phone down
Kelly: you hungry?
Donte: no. Sleep

I went into the kitchen and started making some mac n cheese.
Shay: Kelly?
Kelly: in here
She walked into the kitchen
Shay: you left early
Kelly: yeah Kaylee needed me. Jays been kidnapped
Shay: oh shit. How is she?
Kelly: seizure activity has been really high.
Shay: that's understandable
Kelly: you want some?
Shay: yeah sure. Imma grab a shower first.
Kelly: you want some garlic bread?
Shay: ah you know your way to a woman's heart
She gave me a hug
Kelly: get in the shower you stink
She left and I put the garlic bread in. After about half an hour dinner was ready and shay was sat on the couch with Kaylee laid with her head on a pillow on her lap. I was dishing up dinner and they were both talking
Kaylee: I know he'll be fine but I can't stop thinking whether this time will be the one that takes him away from me forever. I mean he's been shot I don't even know how many times and has been kidnapped like 6 times.
Shay: your dad. He's indestructible.
I walked in and gave shay her plate
Kelly: I've dished you up a plate if you want it
Kaylee: no thanks I'm just gonna go up to bed.
Kelly: I'll be up in a second to set up your watch. Imma just finish my dinner
Kaylee: is uncle Will coming to get me?
Kelly: when he finishes shift which won't be until early hours
Kaylee: okay
I finished my dinner and put the dishes away. I went up to where Kaylee was and she had fallen asleep. I carefully lifted her arm so I could get her watch and I added mine and shays contact details. Now we will get an alert if she has a seizure. Her watch detects seizure symptoms such as abnormal movements or heart rate. I went back downstairs and I messaged will
Kelly: hey babe, don't worry about picking up Kaylee she's fast asleep she'll be fine. You can come and get her in the morning
Will: sorry haven't been in contact.
Kelly: they found him yet?
Will: not yet. I'll message you with updates
