They took her into the treatment room and we left

Connor pov
Connor: can someone page Will?
We transferred her onto the bed and placed an IV and hooked her up to the machines. We checked her vitals and took some blood.
Will: what's happened?
Connor: she's had 4 seizures
Will: shit. where's Jay?
Connor: I don't know
Will: I'll ring him
Will rang Jay and shook his head
Will: I'm guessing he's out in the field. I'll stay until he's here.
Connor: I'll be back to check on her soon. Any problems page me.
Will: thanks Connor
They left leaving me and Kaylee. After about an hour I heard groans of discomfort.
Will: hey trouble
She looked around confused.
Kaylee: w-where?
Will: your in med trouble
Kaylee: w-why?
Will: you've had 4 seizures
Kaylee: oh
Will: you hungry kiddo?
Kaylee: mhm.
Will: what you fancy?
Kaylee: apple sauce and pancakes with berries
Will: okay
Will left and April walked in
April: snuck an iPad in for you
Kaylee: your the best April thanks
April: I thought I'd keep you company
Kaylee: don't you have to work?
April: I'm on my break
Kaylee: cool
After an hour April got paged and I started watching deadpool on the iPad
Jay: hey peach
Kaylee: dad
Jay: I'm sorry I couldn't leave earlier Hank wouldn't let me because the super intendant was on the scene so I probably would of lost my job if I didn't turn up.
Kaylee: it's okay.
Jay: have they said anything?
Kaylee: not yet. I've had blood tests done. I think they're waiting for you
Jay: oh okay
Connor and Natalie walked in
Natalie: how you feeling kiddo?
Kaylee: good
Connor: blood work is clear. Jay we need your consent for a ct
Jay: yeah sure
They took me up, did the scan and took me back to the room. Dr Abrams walked in.
Dr Abrams: CT is clear
I started falling asleep

Jay pov
Kaylee has fallen asleep.
Jay: is there anything we can do for the seizures?
Dr Abrams: I've spoken to Will and I know that she has taken 4 different anti seizure meds since she's been diagnosed. The next option would be to try a ketogenic diet
Jay: she struggles with food as it is. I feel as if the keto diet will do more harm than good. Is there any other options?
Dr Abrams: due to her age I can only suggest vagus nerve stimulation. It's a device implanted under the skin in the left chest area. An electrode or wire is attached to the device and placed under the skin. The wire is attached around the vagus nerve in the neck.
Jay: Will it help?
Dr Abrams: it will reduce the frequency and severity of the seizures. If your interested I'll book an appointment where we can discuss this further
Jay: that would be good. Thank you
Dr Abrams: I'll need to check my schedule but I'll be in touch
Jay: okay thank you
He left and I was just watching a movie on the iPad. I was drifting asleep when a kid walked in.
Jay: can I help you?
??: I'm Zach. I'm a friend of Kaylees. Is she okay?
Jay: yeah she'll be fine. Tell me about yourself Zach.
Zach: well I play soccer, basketball and baseball. I also play a little football.
Jay: you enjoy it?
Zach: I never used to. My parents pushed me into it because I can get too hyper. They say without it I'm too out of control
Jay: I'm sure that's not true
Zach: it is. I have ADHD so I have to take medication everyday to calm me down
Jay: you seem like a good kid
Zach: I try
We got talking until we heard groaning.
Jay: hey peach
Kaylee: d-dad
Jay: you have a visitor

I looked around and I was Zach and I smiled.
Kaylee: z-zach
Zach: hey
Kaylee: how was school?
Zach: boring.
Kaylee: it's always gonna be boring
Dad: I'll leave you guys to it. No funny business
Kaylee: haha. Now go away
Dad left.
Zach: I bet it sucks staying in here
Kaylee: it's not too bad because everyone here is like my family because my uncle works here.
Zach: that's cool
Kaylee: did anyone ask about today?
Zach: our whole group but I said you'd tell them when you're ready
Kaylee: did they seem annoyed by that?
Zach: No. they said they'd been messaging you
Kaylee: I don't even know where my phone is

Connor: everything seems fine. You have an appointment with dr Abrams tomorrow morning at 10am. Once your dad signs the discharge papers you can go
Dad signed them and we left

We were driving when dad pulled into McDonald's drive thru
Dad: Zach you want anything?
Zach: No thank you mr Halstead

Kaylee: 2 double cheeseburger meals with a strawberry and banana smoothie

Dad got the food and we dropped Zach off and we went home. I finished my McDonald's, took my meds and went to sleep
