The Time Me And Dooka met a Crazy capybara: book 4, part 15

W/ Kennon.

Setting: near an trashed, but beautiful Creek.

Kennons POV/1st person:

As I rest near the creek, watching the water flow smoothly.. I just take in the comfort that it brings. In a while, this has to be the most peaceful, empty place I've seen.. In.. Since forever, I guess. No random people rescuing me out of the blue.. No vicious, unhinged capybaras running, no Enzo trying to kill me..No Mya Being annoying, No Julian acting weird, No Karis trying to break up fights, No sgt. Rudo being controlling.. Wow, I could almost go as far as Saying I'd be able to live here forever. All my problems and worries are washed away. But I DON'T want that. That part of my brain.. That mindset is the only thing that's stopping and holding me back from just surviving this horrible world solo-style. I know my friends need me as much as I need them. They're pretty much a part of me now, I guess. Just like how I'm Now An part of them. I sigh, dusting off my clothes and standing up. Getting ready to leave. I know I couldn't stay here forever, even if I tried. I bounded across the creek, leaving it behind. It scares me to be out like this alone;.. Knowing I have no way to defend or protect myself at the moment. I take a deep breath and dash further into the woods. Hopefully.. Maybe.. I'll see my friends again soon. My train of thought gets interrupted by a loud, unrecognizable sound coming from my far left. "...?" I look around, confused. Still a bit nervous of what's to come. There was rustling in the bushes. I get in a defensive stance. Still ready to fight and defend myself, even if I'm unarmed. Thanks to my weird and irrational mindset.. I do something dumb, "Hello?" I called out. Something rolled out. It was the same girl that was with that old man that appeared to be her grandpa. Or was. "Huh?" I say. The girl stands up and sighs. "Jeez, I can't believe the world turned out like this." The girl mutters in shock and annoyance. I nod. "You seriously speak for both of us here." I say, laughing lightly. Letting my guard down a bit."Hey." I say, expression and tone of voice serious. She looks at me. "Weird and odd timing question, but what's your name?" I ask. She freezes. She sighs and looks at me. "Jace."

W/ Karis, Sgt. Rudo, Mya & Julian.

Setting: In the hidden room in the military base.

No One's POV/3rd Person:

Everyone was doing their own thing, eating, sleeping, or trying to make up plans. Mya wondered If there's anyone else out there just like them. Suffering the same fate and situation. It would be nice to know that they aren't alone in all of this. She knew they could find kennon and return back to their normal ways. This past week or two specifically has been pretty rocky and rough for pretty much... all of them. Julian perks up. "Sooo.." Julian whistles awkwardly. "What do you wanna do?" Julian asks. Karis snorts, sgt. Rudo shakes his head and mya doesn't bother giving her full attention to whatever Julian's about to start rambling about. "No- No. I got one, I got one." Julian smirks. Karis's smile drops. "Guys, Guys. Yogurt. Or yogHURT?" Julian grins. "...What." Karis says after moments of confused silence. "Dude. isn't that like, pretty much the same thing?" Mya asks, face full of confusion. "Nope! You.." Julian pokes mya passionately "are In fact very much wrong." Julian chirps brightly with a smug expression. Mya rolls her eyes, as Karis looks ready to cry. "How did this- Nevermind." Sgt. Rudo Sighs whilst still sorting out supplies, half-heartedly putting in his two cents every now and then and listening most of the time. "Yogurt is commonly used in American spelling, whereas 'yogHURT' is british. So the two are very different from each other. Even I know that." Julian says, proud of himself and his 'useful' knowledge his brain contains. "Actually, technically... you basically said the same thing twice." Karis says, raising a brow. "And it's a one word difference." Mya deadpans. Julian scowls playfully. "Haters!" Julian cries, and continues on and on with other unrelated stuff. "..Hm-" Sgt. Rudo murmurs. Everyone looked his direction. "..That's very.. strange." Mya stares at the foreign object, it was a syringe, filled with a weird.. radioactive Green substance. "Ditto!" Julian says, looking back at mya. It was quite obvious he was scared, though he had tons of mood swings. Nevermind that. "Hey! That looks just like the loogie I hocked a few weeks ago!" Julian laughs, Karis Elbows him in the ribcage. Hard. "Owww! Rude." Julian says. "Both of you. Shut up." Mya whispers, Sgt. Rudo Still inspects the substance filled syringe. "All Jokes aside, what is that though?" Julian asks curiously. Crouching down with the other three. "I don't know. But it may not be safe to search any further." Sgt. Rudo Says, Standing up And turning to the kids. "You Three. Stay Back." Sgt. Rudo says, and watched them keep a safe distance, then he resumed back to his previous intentions. "Well.. It's definitely not anything good. Found that out by just its appearance. Radioactive green? No." Sgt. Rudo scoffs in disbelief. "We don't know if it's really unsafe or not until we dive deeper into this weird, new thing we discovered!" Julian argues, Mya shrugs. "You do have a point there, But I think it's best if we listen to Sgt. Rudo here. He is the authority after all." Mya says nonchalantly. Karis, Being the worry wart, responds frantically; "Julian?! Are you out of your mind? It could be incredibly dangerous and deadly!" This debate went on and on.. At last, they had all agreed on one thing: that it should be up to sgt. Rudo. The group had looked at him. "..This Is a complicated situation, So I'll just have to say.."

To Be continued.
