The Time Me And Dooka met a Crazy capybara: book 5, part 3.

Setting: in the destroyed, abandoned kindergarten classroom.

W/ Corniyah & Elona.

Elona's POV/1st person:

We had stumbled across a kindergarten classroom after minutes of looking, and we saw a familiar figure. It was Masoma, on the floor. There was something else there, too. But it ran off immediately, But I was way too worried to put any thought into what that was. "Masoma!" I race towards her. She was partially awake. "Guys?-" Masoma says... And So instead of responding back to her, I did what most people would do in a situation like this. I grabbed her and ran, and she didn't bother questioning why, and I'm thankful for that. Corniyah trailed close behind after us, weaving and navigating through the fire....

Soon we had made it out of the burning school building. We're lucky we're still alive honestly, though one thing that bothers me is knowing oliver's still In the Fire, Hope he's okay. Corniyah and Masoma had collapsed dramatically against a large rock, inhaling and exhaling noisily. "That..." Corniyah starts.. "Was.." Corniyah continues, Masoma finishes the sentence. "Horrifying? Yeah, I Know." Masoma says, sighing while dragging a hand across her face. "I Honestly thought we were toast as soon as That capybara came towards us." Corniyah chuckles nervously, shooting me a worried look. I Slowly nod in response, too tired to say anything. (More Like Towards ME..) I had thought spitefully, and I was close to speaking it too but I ended up deciding with simply keeping my mouth Shut. "Capybaras?" Masoma says, furrowing her brow while forcing out a word. "I thought I was the only one that saw them?" Masoma says, still breathing heavily. "..You saw one too?" Corniyah shares that same look with masoma, and they had stared at eachother like that for a while, before it sort of got a little unsettling and I decide to break the ice. "Well, it's er- kind of obvious, anything we'd see, is what the other would see. It might be the same capybara you encountered and shortly afterwards, the one me and corniyah encountered." I say this to the both of them, but this sentence is mainly directed towards masoma. "This Is.. So strange." Corniyah sighs.. Her head in her hands, as if she was struggling to take all of this newly found information in. "It's actually not that hard to believe." I say, a little confused on how baffled Corniyah about this. Corniyah looks up at me as a 'Seriously?' "Well Elona, I think what Corniyah's stumped on the most is that.. We finally know the reason why the world has just gone downhill. Capybara invasion." Masoma says, I stand up. "No, No. What you guys don't get is that.. These capybaras are just normal capybaras. Somethings wrong with them, as if they're mutated from the inside and overgrown." I shake my head in disagreement. Masoma frowns slightly. "Well, Yeah. But We can work on that later, but-" Masoma says. I stamp my foot in impatience, "No. There's no 'later.' The whole reason why we're in this situation is because of what caused them to be like this. Not necessarily anything else you're trying to say." I huff, And Masoma doesn't back down. Now, some of you might think we're arguing. But we're not. "Well um, We never knew WHY the world was ending, we just KNEW that something was wrong and what caused the world to basically, technically, maybe, to end." Masoma explains thoroughly, I mean... I guess I can kind of see where she's coming from, but also at the same time.. I feel like we're progressing very slowly with this conversation.

W/ Jace And Mya.

Setting: Close to the exit of the semi-destroyed army barrack.

Jace's POV/1st Person:

"I'm only going to ask One more time. Who. Are you." These strangers' words had rung through my mind, and I could hardly manage to say anything. Not Because I was scared, but I felt that this stranger that Kennon just so happens to know and is his 'friend' does not need or deserve my explanation. I swallowed, hard. "Why?" I manage to ask. The girl scoffs in disbelief. "So I don't have to shoot you, you genius." The girl laughs but there's absolutely no humor in it. I try my best to not let myself get offended, but it still annoys me. "Jace." I say. The girl freezes, "Who?"The girl says, confused. I don't respond. "I'm asking you a question." The girl's tone goes back to annoyed and aggressive. I sigh, "Are you deaf or are you just stupid? I said my name is Jace." I snap. I couldn't see behind me, but I could tell she had just rolled her eyes. "What about you? What's your name, let me guess. It's probably 'Miss Stupidity' or 'Miss rat.' " I throw blunt insults, and she chuckles. "Well, Jasey. My name is Mya, thank you very much." I resist the urge to correct her. Or simply dropkick her 'First Impressions Jace, remember. First Impressions.' I say, barely above a whisper as I close my eyes. After moments of silence, I speak up again. "You can remove the gun from my head. I don't bite, Much." I quip. It's clear she doesn't find it funny, and that's what makes me laugh even more. "I think not. Why were YOU with Kennon?" Mya asks, And I clench my fists in annoyance and anger. "You know, Instead of making immediate promises with someone, you should just keep your trap shut. It could get you in danger pretty easily if you continue to do that." I say. She doesn't budge one bit. "What are you proposing?" Mya says, I sigh, rolling my eyes. "That you're messing with the wrong person?" I giggle. "I doubt that." Mya deadpans. She soon lowers the gun from my head, And I turn around to face her. "How many?" I ask. "5, including myself." Mya says. I raise a brow, "five people surviving outhere all alone, huh?" I say. She nods. "What about you, do you have any people to rely on?" Mya says, I went frozen. And with that, she has an expression that's hard to read. "Well, You seem like a decent enough person. I'm sure the others won't mind you hanging around for a while or permanently. Depends if you have someone out there looking for you.. Kind of like how we do."

To Be continued.
