The Time Me And Dooka met a Crazy capybara: book 4, part 16 (Book 4 Finale)

W/ Mya, Julian, Karis & Sgt. Rudo

Setting: In a hidden room in the military base.

No One's POV/3rd Person:

"..That It's Best for Us to find out what this newly found thing is. For all we know, It might be a useful item, Might even go as far as to say It could be an advantage and hopefully stop all of this madness. Who Knows." Sgt. Rudo Says. Karis Is extremely Anxiety Filled, Mya nodded. Filled with determination. Julian was over the moon. "Aww, Sick! Operation: 'Epic Substance discovery' Here we come!" Julian smiles, it was the first time in a long time Julian felt happy. "Don't get too excited, Boy.'' Sgt. Rudo Says, Julian's Happiness didn't falter a bit. "How Can I NOT be Excited! This could be the end to this all!" Julian grins. "A Liquid-Like Substance Stopping a Whole Crisis? No." Mya says, Not buying it one bit. "Vaccines, Hello??" Julian laughs. Mya sighs, shaking her head. "A solution to a disease comes nowhere close to an Apocalypse that's spiraling out of control by the second, Julian." Mya says. Julian's Brow furrows. "You've got a point- I mean.. No, Duh. But still!" Julian says.. Not bothering to put any thought into anything he says. "I'm Sorry Julian, but I'm with mya. If A Liquid was enough to solve it all and everything about this incident.. I'm pretty sure the doctors, scientists and other people working at laboratories would've done that a long time ago and we wouldn't be fighting for our lives right now." Karis says quickly. Julian rolls his eyes. "I have two defenses for my claim against yours; For starters.. vaccines and solutions don't come to life overnight, you should know that. And Two, There IS no doctors- or- or scientists to stop this, and whoever has a similar job or purpose like those two aren't around either." Juliian argues back, his Smile wiped away as he crosses his arms. Mya thinks for a moment. "True. But what are you getting at?" Mya says, Confused. Julian inhales and exhales deeply. "What I'm trying to get at is that this capybara incident won't go away tomorrow or anytime soon if we just continue trying to sit around and not trying to do anything and at least attempt to fix this." Julian says, And everyone went silent. "...Its not easy as you think it is, julian-" Sgt. Rudo Starts but Julian cuts in. "I'M NOT SAYING IT WILL BE EASY! I'M JUST SAYING IT WOULD JUST BE BETTER IF WE TRIED TO DO SOMETHING!" Julian snaps, breathing heavy. "..I'M TIRED OF JUST SITTING AROUND AND DOING NOTHING LIKE A BUNCH OF USELESS COWARDS! I ALWAYS TRIED TO MAKE BEST OF THE SITUATION BUT ALL OF YOU ALWAYS TRIED TO SHUT ME DOWN!! AND I'M TIRED OF TRYING EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO KEEP MY HEAD HIGH AND BE HAPPY FOR THE SAKE OF EVERYONE!" Julian says, Mya's jaw tightens. "Yeah? Well, No one said you had to be 'happy and optimistic' for us. you did that on your own!" Mya argues. Julian whips his head towards her direction. "WELL WHO ELSE WAS GOING TO DO IT?!" Julian snaps back, Karis covers her ears. Sgt. Rudo rolls his eyes."YOU-" Mya says, but she didn't get to finish her sentence. There was a loud, ear-shattering BOOM followed by a bunch of crashes and thuds. "What was that?" Julian and Karis say In Unison, both their voices quavering in fear. "I don't know. But you guys need to hide. NOW." Sgt. Rudo says, Tone Serious. None of them even bothered to argue back. Minutes passed and things only got worse. A group around 5 to 9 capybaras entire the room. Snuffling and sniffing, their heavy paws thumping heavily and creaking against the floorboards. The group hid in separate places around the room. Julian had spotted the duffle bag full of weapons. (Its not too far from us.. I should be able to get across and manage to grab a weapon..) Julian thought, and so then he scooted across. But he made too much noise.. And One of the capybaras Sensed him. It stared daggers straight into his eyes. Julian froze in place. The capybara lunged at him. Julian rolled out of the way in time, dodging its attack by an inch. "JULIAN!" Karis screams out. Sgt. Rudo Jumped out of his hiding place, and tackled one down. Mya ran for the duffle bag. Another capybara had leaped in front of the bag, staring face to face with mya. There was a yell. Everyone perked up. Even the capybaras. No. No. Julian got attacked. He had a gash on the side of his ribs, Karis Gasped, Sgt. Rudo started to struggle with fighting the capybaras off. Mya nervously dashed towards julian who was not doing so well. Mya hurriedly put his arm around her shoulder and lifted him up. "Come on, Come On-" Mya muttered, slightly struggling with helping Julian on top of his dead weight to begin with. "DO WE HAVE A MED KIT IN THERE?" Mya shouted over the commotion. Karis Shrugged. Mya sighed heavily. "THEN CHECK IF WE HAVE ONE, IDIOT?" Mya yelled. Karis nodded and ran towards the duffle bag As Mya quickly steered her And Julian to somewhere safe and hidden. Mya set down the limp julian. "Just rest." Mya says nervously, then looks over her shoulder, to see Karis with the duffle bag running towards them. "Well- We definitely have a med kit. Thank god. Hopefully sgt. Rudo can handle those capybaras back there. He already took a few down." Karis says, Smiling. But it was evident she was scared. Mya Nods In agreement. "Me Too. But Listen, We gotta focus On taking care of Julian Right now." Mya says, leaning over and rummaging through the heavily loaded duffle bag until she had finally fished out the med kit. Karis Looked at Mya. "Do you know anything about medical stuff?" Karis asks, not sure how to word it. "Kind Of. I know the basics." Mya shrugs, Her eyes still downcast. Mya sighs, Then she began treating Julians wound.

15 minutes later.

Mya Finally finished patching Up Julian, Who was partially awake. Moreso drifting in and out of consciousness. "Hopefully He might be okay." Mya says, And Karis Nods. Soon, Sgt. Rudo Returned. And He looked like he'd been having a rough time with those capybaras. Like a Really rough time. "Ugh, Those Bastards!-" Sgt. Rudo Exclaims, Annoyed. Mya, WHo was sitting next to a Sleepy Julian, Had Brought Her Attention to the Sergeant. "I swear, If Enzo is The one behind All of this I'll-" Sgt. Rudo Was acting a little immature, In The Teen's Eyes. "Stop Complaining." Mya snarled. Sgt. Rudo Briefly looked at Her for a second. "But.. I think The boy might be right. Maybe that substance, liquid-like thing in that syringe back there.. Could Be a cure. Or It could be something much, much worse." Sgt. Rudo Says, And Mya And Karis Stared at him, something rising.. It felt like they have discovered something. Like a new chapter has been opened.
