The Incident: Book 6, Part 5.

W/ Julian & Chad:

Setting: At the newly found camp-like community.

No One's POV/3rd Person:

The Two Boys scanned the camp that stood before them, and Chad scrunched his face up in confusion and disbelief. "...Are you serious? What is this place?" Chad says. Julian scoffs and laughs. "Ditto!" Julian blurts out, and Chad rolls his eyes, unamused. "Hopefully they can get your leg patched up. We don't want that to get infected." Julian says... and for once, Chad agreed. He simply nods. They walked further into the camp, and a flurry of thoughts and questions entered their brains the more they looked around. No one seemed to notice them so far, as they seemed pretty busy. "I wonder who runs this place. And whoever does, IS probably no one to joke with." Julian says, and Chad shrugs. "Most likely. We can try talking to someone to see where we are." Chad says, and he's finally using his brain for once. Julian silently agrees.. "Ha. Imagine If Mya's Here? That'd Be great." Julian says, and Chad's eyes flicker down to the ground. "...Yeah. Maybe. If She's not in too much trouble." Chad says, and Julian cocks his head to the side in confusion. "What do you mean by that?" Julian asks out of pure curiosity. Chad sighs and shakes his head. "I mean.. This is pretty rough out here. And she's definitely not unscathed. But let's hope for the best." Chad says. Julian nods, understanding where Chad was coming from. Julian glances at Chad's Leg, And Saw it was getting slightly inflamed and with a twinge of purple. "Cmon. let's not waste any time here. Let's get that fixed up, before you have to get it amputated." Julian always went the extra mile, and Chad hated it, but knew that they had to treat it asap. They walked further into the community, as the sun began to rise, and They seemed awkwardly put off to the side, watching as the people got to work, filling buckets of water, picking crops, and a lot of difficult stuff. Soon they stumbled across someone who was familiar. Noticeable from his Signature dirty blonde messy hair and already big personality from just looking at him, they knew who it was. Liam. THey went to middle school with him, and LIke always. They hardly ever talked to him. He was carrying two buckets of water, Not noticing the two at first, until Julian called out to him. "Hey! Liam, You're here too?" Julian beams brightly, But he wasn't returned with the same reaction. Which was expected, Due to them hardly knowing each other. Chad furrowed his brow as he glanced back and forth between Julian And Liam. "The Hell?" Liam scrunches his face up in confusion. Julian rolls his eyes. "It's Me. And chad. You know, from middle school?" Julian says. It dawned on Liam. He had an 'ohhh' expression written all over his face, but his reaction didn't change much. "Can someone just please explain why we're just now meeting all these old people we met from school... like- years ago?" Chad interjects, and Julian stifles a Laugh. It did seem a bit odd. Like fate was messing with them right now. "How'd You guys coincidentally stumble across here?" Liam asks.

Julian Shrugs, Equally as confused as the other two boys are. "Weird, I know. Everything has been.. Ever since 'The Incident.'...." Julian shudders, Recalling the horrors and the not-so-fun experiences they've had in the past, then he reluctantly Continues. "But we've just been sort of going with it." Julian says, and Liam nods in approval, understanding of where he was coming from. Chad, becoming extremely annoyed... finally cuts into the conversation after the first time in a couple minutes. "Enough with the small talk, alright? I just want my leg patched up and Just get the opportunity to rest without getting mauled by a capybara again. Please and thank you." Chad says, and the seriousness almost immediately returns back to the atmosphere. Liam gives a stiff nod, then gestures to a nearby tent. "Not too far down from here, you see. That's the medical tent. They'll patch you up in no time."Liam says.. And Julian gives a 'thank you' nod before guiding Chad to the medical tent.

...half an hour later.

Julian had gotten Chad the help he needed, now staying back at the medical tent for the time being, so he decided to Wander the camp-like community and possibly talk to Liam for Details. As He approached Liam, who was now Entering the garden, joining the other group of people already gathering the freshly grown fruits and vegetables... he waved Liam down. "Hey, uh... Liam?" Julian says, not too loud but at a good enough volume for Liam to hear. Liam looks over his shoulder at Julian. "Hm?" Liam responds, curious of what Julian Had to say. Julian awkwardly looks around the place before responding. One of the things he noticed... Is how well put-together this community organization was. Whoever Put this all together is definitely no one to joke around with. "Who did all this?" Julian asks. Liam tilts his head slightly in confusion. Julian cleared his throat, and sighed. "Like... I mean. Who made this community? Like, you know... who's like the head of this place?" Julian asked. Liam sighs and shakes his head. "Well... Uhm, It's Someone Very... Important. Per se. And they're quite valued around here. It's the only place that's really safe for us. And It's been going strong for quite a while now." Liam starts slowly, And Julian starts to get impatient, standing on the balls of his feet, and eagerly nods. "Well... I might sound idiotic but.. Would It be possible? To see this person?" Julian sheepishly asks, and Liam ponders for a moment. "A chance. Maybe so. Come on." Liam says, and Julian's eyebrows shoot up in surprise. He didn't realize how easy it would be to meet the Leader of this community. Hopefully they weren't too harsh and serious, but not so flexible and laid back either. He follows Liam to a certain and reserved section. They slowly open the door, and Liam sighs. "Chief?" Liam says. No response. Liam exhales in anxiousness. "Someone wants to see you." Liam says. Julian silently follows close behind Liam, And Who Julian Saw was definitely not someone He was expecting to see.
