The Incident: Book 6, Part 1.

Setting: in the middle of the woods, dark and in the middle of nowhere.

Julian's POV/1st Person:

I flinched, sitting upright and jolting awake as I slowly regained consciousness... head blurry and throbbing with immense pain as I struggled to sit up. I clutch my head, and that's when I realize I'm bleeding from my temple. A thin, but brief streak of blood now smeared visibly on my fingertip. I heard faint footsteps in the distance, and I was immediately in defense mode. I'm sure I would be able to take on whatever was out. I was obviously in no Condition to fight back.. But I'd make the most of my condition if it ever came to that point to where I had to defend myself. Soon enough, the Footsteps grew closer. I tensed up In nervousness, and Out of nowhere, someone grabbed my shoulder. I slowly turn my head, In hopes of it not being a threat. It was someone I surprisingly knew for a while, briefly though. His stone faced expression stared right back at me. And I knew exactly who it was. Chad. I furrow my brow in confusion, and annoyance started to rise. I never had a Good relationship with him. From early middle school, up to now. I never thought I Would cross paths with him ever again, especially not after all that happened. "Get up. We have to get moving." Chad grabbed me by my hoodie and started to pull me up. "Hey- Ow! Watch where you're grabbing!" I yelp, lucky me. Pain started to flare up in my ribs too, now. Just perfect to go along with my hellish headache and my immensely sore arm. He didn't seem to care. Obviously not. Why would he care? I thought to myself as I scowl, struggling to stay upright. "Chad, what are you doing here?! How are you even alive?" I say, and with his back turned towards me... he sighs. "I was gonna say the same for you, you prat." He snarls, crossing his arms, still never bothering to look at me. I can feel my fists clenching at my sides as I glared at him from behind. "Why are you being so damn rude right off the bat?" I complain. "Like, I'd expect for us to have at least a little less beef with each other.. Because-" I say, starting to rant. He simply cut me off in a demanding but calm tone. "Quite Idiotic for you to assume we'd be buddy-buddy just because the world ended." Chad says, and It felt like my heart was going to explode with rage. I had no Idea why I was so angry at him right now or in general,, but I felt like I had every right to be. "I'm not even saying that! I'm just saying that it's just a little inconsiderate that you find me, and you aren't even sparing even a little kindness for me?" I scoff and cross my arms in annoyance, as Chad glared at me unamused. "Seriously? You haven't changed at all, dude." I roll my eyes, then he suddenly takes me by the arm, tight. Leaving no room for comfort apparently. I scowl, glancing at him. He turns away and leads me somewhere. I try (or at least attempt) to ignore my body protesting alongside with tiny sparks of agony going off in my head and ribs. I grit my teeth pretty much more in annoyance than pain. "Can you atleast TRY to be even a LITTLE considerate for once in your life and elaborate on with where we're going?" I growl, and Chad snorts.. I can't believe he's actually finding humor in this. My angry expression shifted into one of mild confusion and shock along with a twinge of annoyance. I look at him, dumbfounded. "You are anything but intimidating when you're angry, pretty boy." Chad rolls his eyes In a Humored manner. I scowl. "There's Nothing to be laughing about, you stupid douchebag!" I swear. I'm going to go insane one day because of this boy.

Several minutes later...

Chads' POV/1st Person:

My chuckling died down as I turned to Look at Julian, Expression now Serious. "Anyway, now that THAT'S over with.. Have you seen anyone else 'round here? I'm looking for Mya specifically." I ask, slightly concerned although I'd never admit. At Least not in front of him. I could've sworn there was a twinge of jealousy In Julian's Expression. His expression turned confused again. "You know her?" Julian says. I mentally facepalm as I grit my teeth in frustration. "Oh my god.... YES! Of course I know her! We all went to middle school together. Do you even remember?!" I say. Julian crosses his arms. "Well, Why do you wanna know?" Julian says, Expression half-smug. I roll my eyes. "Are we really going to play this game?" I say, dragging a hand down my face as I wearily glance at him. Julian's Curiosity unwavering... Still patiently waited for my answer. "You don't deserve an Answer from someone as amazing as me, really." I say, My self-confidence boosting just from a compliment from myself. I mean, what can I really say? I'm A Handsome guy. Anyone with common sense could see that. Julian scoffs and glowered at me. "Can You speak one sentence without stroking your own ego for one second?!" Julian seemed fed up with my charming personality, and That only added fuel to the fire. Julian was always one to let people get under his skin easily... so he was an easy target most of the time, at least in my eyes. I only stared at him with a satisfied expression as he kept going off on me. "Like, One second you were being a quiet and rough Jerk.. and the next minute you're acting like a stupid and entitled baby!" Julian snapped. There was confusion and curiosity etched on my face. I sarcastically scratch my head. "Is that your way of saying I have mood swings?" I say. He looked like he wanted to die. I never liked him, and now its only him here, for the rest of the time we're stuck together... I'm going to make it hell for him. Just for no reason. Because everyone knows that I'm Chad, And Chad Never goes easy on people.
