The Time Me And Dooka met a Crazy capybara: book 4, part 14
W/ Elona, Corniyah, And Masoma.
Setting: inside their old, abandoned, ransacked elementary school. Dark, and school supplies and books scattered everywhere. Currently in a destroyed 3rd grade classroom.
Masoma's POV:
I get harshly greeted with the bright light sneaking through the blinds of the 3rd grade classroom window and the sun creeping into my eyes. I throw my arm over my face and turn to where my back's facing the window. The sounds of Elona snoring and Corniyah sleeping talking fill the air. After several minutes of me procrastinating to get up, I prop myself up with my elbows. I scan the room. Oliver was curled up in a tight ball underneath one of the student desks, fast asleep. (I Guess I'm the only one awake right now.) I Thought to myself, then stood up, ready to explore the place. I mean, I've only been here at this elementary school for a year before We went to middle school. Might as well look around and see things I haven't seen when I used to attend here. I take off, lightly jogging out of the classroom. Thank god none of them woke up, because I seriously don't feel like explaining myself right now. Besides, I won't take long. It'll be a little, quick tour. I went down the stairwell, I almost forgot that our elementary school was 2 stories. I head into the kindergarten room, and to say the least... I'll just say, the emotion i'm feeling right now, cant be worded. But, Distraught.. Or sad. Is an Understatement. I woefully scan the abandoned classroom. All I smell is death, and fire. Wait. Fire? In my peripheral vision, I see a reddish, yellowish-orange burst to life. I see a dark silhouette. It was tall, and to top it all off... something else had to be here too. right next to the silhouette.. Stood bulky, large and nearly as tall as the silhouette. That was the icing on the cake. I'm really lucky today, aren't I? A chill travels down my spine, and all I could do is Just stare in fear and horror, as If i were a deer caught in the headlights. The main thought, well.. The ONLY thought for that matter.. That's racing through my mind is; Who are they? Every inch of me is telling me to run. But for some reason, I can't. It's like My feet have been cemented to the floor. Shortly afterwards, the tall silhouette approaches slowly. Though the bulky silhouette stays put. Soon, after what felt like hours. The silhouette is inches away from my face. And that silhouette just so happens to be an actual person. A Man, to Be exact. I want to call out to Corniyah And Elona, But I can't. I know I can't. I can't even gather the courage nor strength to move, yet I think I could do something like running or yelling. Soon enough. I take a slight step back, and I hear a quiet, chk sound. My curiosity gets the best of me.. And I find out it's a freaking match. And It just got lit. I know a match can't simply set off a fire that big, so there has to be a gasoline trail. That explains the strong, pungent odor. The stranger had held the match right in front of me. It dimly illuminates their face, and they had the most sadistic, revenge-seeking..(Somehow) smirk on their face ever to be seen. They horizontally outstretch their arm that held the match with the tip of their fingers, and drop it. My eyes went wide in horror, I figured out the bulky silhouette was a.. Capybara? What in the world? Capybaras are usually known for their nonchalant aura and kindness. But something about this one didn't look too.. Friendly. It almost makes me wonder if I should be worried about my safety. Like, seriously. A whole debate is going on inside my head about that. And my heart nearly catches in my throat, seeing how the stranger had literally dropped the match. Soon, the match set everything in the classroom ablaze. Though the previous, older fire had died down quite a bit.. It still didn't change the fact that everything about this entire experience screams 'DANGER AND MAYBE.... MOST LIKELY.... DEATH.' That's what encourages me to just try to get out of this classroom. But of course, like always.. With everything, that was delayed. Nearly the whole room was on fire now, The smoke crept into my lungs, and the heat from the fire only intensified by the second. And it's quite obvious that I pretty much can't escape. But why me? It only makes me enraged, knowing I might die. That I'll die against someone I could hardly see. I can't do that. I can't just die. I knew my time was running out.. My lungs and throat felt irritated. My eyes hurt from the smoke. I felt dizzy, I coughed. Then, I felt as If I were floating.. I felt completely weightless. I fall back, going unconscious.

Timeskip 3 hours Later...
W/ Corniyah, And Elona.
Corniyah's POV/1st Person.
I woke up to the sound of Oliver growling, and frantically running around in circles. It didn't take long for me to realize that this building was set ablaze. I stand up as quickly as I possibly can and swiftly scan my surroundings. Elona woke up groggily, then immediately got fully woken up when she figured out what was happening too. "What the-" Elona exclaims, Oliver's hackles raise and he barks. I try to calm him down in hope of trying not to make any loud disruptions, Incase if any threats are nearby. Oliver barks again, and dashes into the bright flames. "OLIVER! NO-" I yell, then facepalm. Sighing. I mean, I know he's a dog... But jeez. Just listen. He's so going to get himself killed in there. In the Fire or not. His curiosity and stupidity is One of the things That concerns me the most about him. We seriously don't need two things missing. Speaking of 'missing'. Well, this isn't really a missing topic. But it kinda is? I wonder how our friends are doing, and if they're okay. (I really hope they're doing better than us.) I thought apprehensively, and Elona might've caught onto my expression. Because she gave me a reassuring smile. I didn't want to tell her that It really didn't help, though. So I kept quiet and gave a nod. 'We'll just have to wait here. We don't need to get ourselves into danger haswell.' Elona suggests..... and As much as I hate procrastinating and not doing things straight away due to me being a person that just wings it most of the time, I painfully agree. I guess this sounds dumb, but we'll just have to wait it out.
