Jade's POV
This is the day where I should not think of all my worries and problems. I'm so excited since this is my first time, after so many years, to go outside the urban zone.
Yes, folks. I'm going to Batangas!
I can't hide my excitement dahil ngayon nalang ako ulit makakapunta doon. I've been there when I was a kid pero syempre mas iba na ang feeling ngayon since hindi na ako bata. I'm more open to adventures and mas gusto ko na i-explore ang lugar na iyon kaya naman I can't wait to get there!
Since three ang start ng wedding ay kinuha ko na yung sasakyan na pinahiram sakin ni Nica para naman makaalis na agad ako. Dahil pinili niya ako bilang isa sa mga bridesmaids niya, ayokong malate lalo na't this is a very important day for the couple. Nakakatuwa lang dahil kahit bago palang kaming magkakilala ay ginusto niya pang isama ako sa entourage. Kaya naman I'll always be grateful, not only for the invite, but for all the good things she did to me.
It was already two nang dumating ako. Pagkarating ko sa venue ay tila mapako na ako sa kinatatayuan ko. I was so amazed with what I am seeing. The place is very quiet and serene. The decorations perfectly match everything. The water looks refreshing and so is the whole place.
Yep, they'll be a having a beach wedding. The wedding's color were blue and white. Grabe! Kudos to the event's organizers. Ang ganda talaga.
Pinapila na kaming mga kasama sa entourage para maayos na lahat bago mag start yung wedding. There's a woman na nakatoka para papilahin kaming lahat. Meron na silang kanya-kanyang mga bulaklak kaya naman lumapit na ako doon para hingin yung akin.
"Uhm miss? Where's supposed to be my place?" I asked her.
"Ay, Wila nalang. Here's your flowers. Doon ka after nung babae sa harap."
Wila? Have I heard that name before?
Nagstart na yung ceremony kaya naman pumwesto na kami. Nagsimula nang maglakad yung flower girls, ring bearer, yung mga ninongs and ninangs and other guests. Sumunod naman kaming mga bridesmaids.
I was already walking down the aise when I caught a glimpse of a woman who is standing and smiling at me.
Althea?
I was caught off guard by my imaginations. Imposible 'yon. Hindi ko man siya mamukhaan masyado pero bakit hindi ko ma-explain 'tong nararamdaman ko. I was getting closer to her noong bigla nalang siyang tumalikod at umalis sa kinatatayuan niya.
No. Don't go.
The mass has started and I couldn't be happier for these two. Their vows made me cry and think na sayang din pala yung naging relationship namin ni David. Kitang-kita ko sa mga mata nila yung love nila para sa isa't-isa.
How I wish na sana naging ganoon nalang din ang ending para hindi narain ako nahihirapan ngayon. Hindi nalang kasi siya at pamilya ko ang gumugulo sa isipan ko.
Dahil pati yung feelings ko towards Althea ay binabagabag nadin ako.
The wedding cermony ended with the couple's much awaited kiss. Lahat kami halos ay kinilig dahil doon. After noon ay nagkaroon muna ng one hour break bago mag start ang reception.
I was on my way to the restroom when I saw a familiar face. She was talking to the waiter kaya naman hindi na niya ko napansin.
"Batchi!" I called her.
"Uy, Jade! Hello!" She said while dismissing the waiter. Napaka-casual lang ng bati niya na para bang expected na niya na andito talaga ako.
"Why are you here, Batchi? Ito ba yung sinasabi mong event na i-oorganize niyo?" I asked.
