Jade's POV
I tried my best to stop from blaming myself. Kahit na pilit na sinasabi sa akin ni Althea na wag akong mag-alala, hindi ko lang talaga mapigilan ang sarili ko. Hindi ko lang matanggal sa isip ko na kagagawan ito ni Dada.
Bakit siya pa? Bakit sarili ko pang papa?
"Jade, babalik na ako ng office. Mas mabuti na muna siguro kung dito ka nalang muna. I don't want you to stress yourself." Althea said.
Umuwi na muna kami sa condo niya to unpack and settle things first. She wanted me to stay since alam niyang hindi makakabuti sa akin kung mag-iisip lang ako. I tried to tell her that I'm fine but she just won't listen.
"Althea, don't worry about me. Okay lang ako. I'm not a baby anymore." I mumbled.
"But you are my baby." She warmly smiled.
Jusko. Ang landi po ng girlfriend ko.
"Ewan ko sa'yo. Oo na sige, dito na muna ako." I sighed.
"Good. Late na ata ako makakauwi. Just call me whenever you need anything okay? I'll miss you." She stood and gave me a kiss on my cheek before going out of her place.
I tried diverting my attention to other things kaya naman naisipan ko nalang ipagluto si Althea ng dinner. I prepared the needed ingredients for my dish and I was already frying the chicken when Sally called.
"Hello, Jade?!" It sounded so urgent.
"For Pete's sake, Sally! Don't shout when you're on your phone. Anyway, why did you call?"
"I've been trying to reach you pero di mo sinasagot yung mga tawag ko. Pati si Bianca nag-aalala sa'yo!" She scolded like a great mom.
"Sorry. We were having problems." I apologized.
"Hulaan ko, gumagawa na ng paraan si tito para bumalik ka dito. Right?" She was very sure with her answer.
"How did you know?" I asked her.
"Girl, duh. Halata naman 'yon! Di na kailangan ng explanation. Nga pala, Bianca and I are planning to stay there. Anyway, may sasabihin ako!" Sally said and I was listening intently.
"He's there." She almost whispered.
"Ha? Sino? Si David?" I asked as I was getting confused.
"No! Worse. Yung isa pang naghahabol sa'yo. Isa ding deads sa'yo."
"Shit." I cussed.
"Yeah, you heard me right. Andyan si Jason. He's looking for you!"
"Are you serious? Anong ginagawa niya dito?!" I asked as I was getting furious.
"We don't know! Ang sabi niya gusto ka daw niyang makita."
Ano ba 'to? Bakit pa ba siya nagparamdam?
Jason is my ex-boyfriend. He was my first boyfriend before David and I got engaged. Dada didn't like him since he's not Chinese. He was in favor of David and I didn't get the chance to fight for him since I was scared back then.
Well, he didn't fight back either. He used to be our bestfriend. Isang araw, hindi ko nalang siya matawagan. I tried finding him pero hindi siya nagpakita.
