Jade's POV
"Lablab, wake up."
I immediately opened my eyes as soon as I felt her light kisses on my face. She's really fond of showing her love even just with simple things.
Sweet.
"Are we here?" I mumbled while I was trying to get a clearer view.
"Andito tayo sa office. May dadaanan lang ako saglit. Dito ka na muna?" She asked.
"Uhm, I was thinking of going with you. Gusto ko nadin kasi makita sila Andie. Besides, namimiss ko nadin sila Batch. Okay lang ba?" I said.
"Of course. Let's go?" She said as she offered her hand.
As we made our way through her office, nakita kong pinagtitinginan kami ng ilang mga tao. We've been out for weeks kaya siguro nagtataka sila.
Pwede din namang si Althea lang ang habol nila? Hay.
Bago pa man ako pumunta sa office niya ay dumiretso muna ako sa cubicle ko to check whether I still have my job. Luckily, andoon pa naman ang mga gamit ko. Andie and Nate were shocked the moment they saw me.
"Girl, ano na?!" Andie exclaimed.
"Uy, long time no see!" Nate said.
"I'm totally fine. I needed to go home to do some things." I answered.
"Akala ko tinanan ka na ni ma'am Althea eh." Nate joked.
"Oo nga! Sabi ko naman sa'yo diba dapat ninang at ninong kami?" Andie added.
"Shut up. Hahaha! Nagbakasyon lang kami." I laughed upon hearing their sentiments.
"Perk of being the girlfriend of a CEO." Nate said.
"Lucky girl. Kainggit!" Andie stated.
"Anyways, narinig mo na ba ang balita?" Andie asked.
"The past weeks have been very bad." Nate commented as well.
"Huh? Bakit?" I asked with nervousness.
"Some investors have pulled out their shares from the company." Andie said.
"Also, marami ding nawalang projects sa'tin." Nate added.
"Di naman alam pero sa tingin namin may mga nagkakalat ng di magagandang info tungkol sa kumpanya. Sabotaging the company is really a low blow." Andie said.
Napatigil ako sa mga sinasabi nila sa akin. How did these things happen? Ano yun, biglang pangyayari nalang?
"Ano nang sabi nila Batchi? Have they said something?" I asked.
"They held a meeting last week to tell these to us. Ma'am Batchi assured us na walang mangyayaring tanggalan at hindi daw babawasan ang wages ng mga empleyado." Nate answered.
"Yep, thank God." Andie commented.
"Ohh. Sige. Salamat. I think I should go to Althea." I said.
"Yeah, bond soon! We miss you already!" Andie said.
I made my way towards her office. Some things have been really weird. I mean, umalis lang kami saglit tas pagbalik namin itong mga problema na agad ang bubungad sa amin?
Pumunta na ako and I talked to Alma asking if I can see Althea right now. Dumiretso na ako sa loob and I wasn't able to see Althea. Inilibot ko ang mga mata ko hanggang sa may narinig ako sa conference room ng office niya. I saw Althea talking with Batchi and Wila and they really looked so serious. I stood beside the door as I started eavesdropping.
